Confusing to compare with the color chart. My results were quite dark, but they didn’t quite match either.

The package has a resealable bar for you to reseal. Unfortunately, it should been permanently sealed and let the owner cut it open and then use the resealable bar to close the package. The way this package is done now, you don't know if anyone has opened it and contaminate the inside. Now the strip is supposed to be put in mouth for collecting saliva, that's unsafe. So, I would recommend to others that use a small dish to collect your saliva and dip the strip into your saliva, instead of putting the strip in your mouth.My wife and I both tried the strip. Her test showed normal, while my test is through the roof. I just recently had a gout episode in my ankle, disabled me for a week. Oh well, back to more dieting.

I was hoping these test strips would be useful to compare with my uric acid monitor. They certainly were pricey for only 25 strips. I found that the color scales don't provide a precise reading. All I can tell is my uric acid level is between 7 and 10. That doesn't help at all. The chart even says "Target Healthy Levels" are between 1.5 and 5.0 which in reality would indicate an unhealthy uric acid deficiency. That the manufacturer is ignorant of this medical fact is not reassuring at all. The healthy level is really 5.5 and good luck telling what shade of brown that actually is with this useless and expensive system!

This is a great way to pay close attention to your Uris acid level. It helps if you are trying to see what foods might raise your levels and cause a gout attack.

We’ll, bought this product for the convenience of being able to gauge and record my uric acid levels over periods of time. It seems to companies gone out of business as I have not been able to reach them via email calls or any other way so I assume they’ve gone out of business because I’ve been getting this error message from their website for well over three weeks. While I can compare the color of the strip to the illustrations on the package, it’s not quite the same to have the access to a record of ups and downs. To me this is worthless, but Others may still find it useful.
