Avoid.
2 stars for what you get in the kit (that's being generous)The overall quality is pretty bad. The iron heats up to more or less soldering iron heat which is insufficient for burning wood efficiently.You get what you pay for, if i knew how bad this pyrography iron was, i would never have bought it.

New hobby!
Nice neat container with equipment being easily accessible. This was bought with a specific project in mind and we are looking forward to seeing the end result. 2 chairs have been stripped and waxed and now we have to decide what design to use to decorate the back rest.

Instructions please
The product is very basic but does the job, I think. I would benefit from some instructions to help guide me to using the tool(s). These were not available. I think I might use it more if I had any clue what I was doing or what I was supposed to be doing.

was not the higher temperature control version
Need to really review closely before buying as i didn't realise (given that the printed pcitires look almost identical that there is a lower powered and a higher powered version. The one I ended up with is th elower power one and useless for what I need, but too expensive to return back.Note also, that the stencils are just to pencil in then remove and hand fill in afterward.

Don’t buy it!
Hardly burnt the wood, it seemed to really only scratch it. Thankfully I trialed it on a scrap piece of wood first, otherwise I would have been pretty damn peeved to have destroyed my project with this! The unit was apparently so hot that the rubber(?) bit holding the heating element in place melted, rendering the whole thing pretty useless to use as it wobbled. The handle also got incredibly hot, so I could barely hold it. Basically, don’t buy this product! I guess you get what you pay for?

Well worth buying
I'm just starting out on pyrography and found this Tuloka set to be a great way to get going. Everything you need as a learner is supplied. Well worth buying.
