Reliable and Durable Framing Tool
I am using this well-designed framing tool for my own personal use, on projects around my property. For me it excels in construction and functionality, the price point leaves room for consideration. It has a very sturdy build quality that ensures durability and precision, making it perfect for me when framing, walls, roofs, and floors. I like the feature of a handle, providing ease of carrying maneuverability. Constructed from aluminum makes it lightweight, and easy to store because slim width. I would say it is a practical choice for me and those seeking precision in framing work around the house.

NOT 16" OC
What a waste. I'm incredibly annoyed right now because as a Vine reviewer if I want to give a bad review on something that has not been properly described or is broken I have to still pay the taxes on that item. Given that this item needs COMPLETE accuracy anything other than 16"OC renders this framing tool useless. As per my photos you can see this is almost a 1/4" off.. So you won't need a long run for it to throw the whole wall off. About the only thing it's useful for is anything under a 4' in length. So now I just have a big aluminum paperweight that I have to pay taxes on.

Good tool with one big flaw
This tool makes framing a wall much easier. I have been building out my basement for some time and it was a real time saver using the tool. However, when I put up my 4x8' sheets of paneling the studs were not 16" OC. They are slightly shorter . On a long wall you are quickly off a place to screw in the edges of the plywood. You may be able to make use of this tool on your project but it isn't perfect.

A great concept! A tedious task, riddled with measurements and double-checks.
For professional framers and DIY enthusiasts who value precision and efficiency, this tool is a solid choice. Its sturdy build, versatility, and ease of use make it a valuable addition to the toolbox.

Pretty cool tool, but not 16"
I'm building floors for a couple of small storage sheds, and was anxious to give this a try. Very solid tool, not much to go wrong. I was working with very wet treated wood, so the fit was pretty tight, but the tool still served its purpose and was actually pretty handy. One little issue though - this is not 16" OC spaced. It's 400mm. There are 25.4mm in an inch, not 25. That makes it off by about 1/4". You might say, "No big deal, what's 1/4"?" Lay out a wall with this and try to hang sheet rock - your seams are going to miss the studs. Over 48", you're losing 3/4". Two sheets of sheet rock and your center is off by 1.5". So on from there. For what I was doing, it didn't matter at all, except I had cut blocking at 14.5" to fit between my joists and they didn't fit because the spacing was 14.25".For some small projects, this is still a handy and useful tool, but the 1/4" discrepancy could become a really big problem if you're working with 48" panel products of any kind. It's too bad, because I really like the idea, but framing a wall with it would be disastrous. I see a lot of tools similar to this on Amazon, I hope at least SOME of them are ACTUALLY 16" because I'd really like to have one. The 6.4mm error makes this a big fail in my book, unless you know where to get 1200mm (47.25") plywood/sheet rock.

Simplicy Itself
Before we got this wonderful device for establishing consistent measurements and spacing for setting wooden frames, some projects came out looking rather primitive from small uncaught errors. This tool is so easy to use that the carpentry work can be more flawless. The solid cast aluminum frame is such a wonderful addition to the tool collection. It is lightweight and simple, with no extra parts to keep track of, and fits well while looking cool into the tool shed.

Very well made
I thought I was going to get a cheap version but this was actually very well made. The 2x4 fits very nicely and it's very easy to use
