This drill bit work and did what I wanted it to do. Easy to use and I will need to order some smaller ones for a future project.

Bought items for improvement of woodworking projects, they work as they should

I did use these but if you don’t have a special machine you are kinda wasting your money. I thought I could push these through soft pine, NOPE. My bad but they aren’t very high quality. I have now seen the mortise machine and they are expensive.

Zero stars if possible. Will not cut a square hole. Will not cut any hole unless you case the outer square part off and just use the drill bit. Lesson learned. Next time I will spend the extra money and get a quality set. I absolutely recommend staying away from this set. Horrible product.

There is a little bit of a learning curve based on the wood that you are using. I had never used these type of bits before, but I quickly realized that in order to effectively drill mortise/tenon joints without having to spend a ton of time chiselling, I could just measure and drill small pilot holes spaced just inside the span of each bit. Huuuge time saver! They are sharp and ready to work. Well oiled for storage (for the couple of sizes I haven't used and likely won't often). Amazing value for the set compared to others selling singles!!

The 5/16 inch hollow chisel mortising bit worked perfectly out of the box. Machining and finish appeared excellent to me and the chisel arrived sharp and ready to use. Very pleased with the purchase!

- Edited - These bits are not as refined as higher prices options and the set I got was no different. The set I got had a number of issues mostly dull and had a very course sharpening. These bits will require some work to get a good cut. I did however get a set that had significant flaws to the spurs. They were so short they either won't reach the wood to cut or would be gone after a few sharpenings. I reached out to manufacturer to let them know what the issues were and they seemed very responsive. Also, for those that care, there are no marking to indicate where it was made, but the package came from China.

Auger does not draw the square bit into wood. Square bit spins in wood even when seated with pressure in soft wood. Shaft to drill is too long to perform detailed tasks on small pieces. Too much play on drill shank inside square bit hole. Bits are not very sharp.

Works if you're using it for the correct application. I was hoping the square base was a little tougher to actually chisel and drill out but it's hard to use. I ended up just drilling out with a normal brad point and chiseling the sides.
