I’d been looking for a piece of furniture like this for a while - bamboo and over 1.5m tall with enough shelves for towels and other bathroom bits and pieces. I really like bamboo and was hoping it was good quality but a lot of relaxdays products on here have bad reviews so was skeptical before I purchased. I waited until the price reduced to £110 and bought it. To be honest, bathroom furniture is very expensive so this price seemed about right for the height for what I’ve seen elsewhere.The pieces require self assembly, with the side pieces and the door coming as solid pieces but with everything else needing fixing together. This took me a long time to screw together as I had to do most of it by hand. There are 22 major screws which have an Allan key head, but these are such poor quality my electric screwdriver ruined them so had to use the Allan key provided. Bamboo is a thick dense wood so it was slow going. What made assembly more difficult was most of the pieces were incorrectly labelled so I spent a while figuring out what was what. When I came to the end of assembly, there is one piece (H) where the holes have been placed too far apart so I am unable to screw the top shelf on without damaging it. I can’t get in touch with the seller to resend me the H shelf so I’m stuck with a shelving unit without an upper shelf. I’m going to contact amazon and see if they can get in touch with the seller for me. I might try gluingIt and seeing if that works.The bamboo itself is very thin with the sides and legs ‘rattling’ when lifted. It’s not a sturdy piece of furniture so I’m not confident it can hold a lot of weight. The legs are very thin, about a cm in width. I was planning on putting towels in mine with some plants on top, but I’m not sure if it would manage with that. Overall, it looks good, but it’s been poorly put together and the bamboo could be a bit thicker. I will post photos when it’s assembled.—————————————-Edit April 2018I managed to stick the shelf on with command strips that are surprisingly strong. They hold three small orchid on the top shelf. What disapppints me is that whilst this says bamboo is waterproof, there is mould all over the very top shelf of this cabinet. I wouldn’t say my bathroom is overly wet or moist but even with leaving windows open when showering and afterwards for a while, it still shows signs of mould. Perhaps this bamboo is untreated but I didn’t think it was supposed to mould. I wouldn’t recommend this item at this price, £50 would be more appropriate.

Bought this last year, the pieces were wonky so we were sent a replacement whilst sending back the original. Finally gotten round to building it again and one of the big pieces is missing. Quality control really isn’t at play here and we’re incredibly disappointed in our new home.

Poor quality. Not 100%bamboo. Plastic bamboo veneer damaged on arrival and looks like cardboard underneath--probably not suitable for bathroom

Received one part ( Part E) as damaged, asked for a replacement, again the same thing.Parts are very fragile and not strurdy
