Designed in 1949 by Danish Hans Wegner, the Wishbone Chair was originally inspired by classical portraits of Danish merchants sitting on Chinese Ming chairs. Also referred to as Y chair due to the 'Y' shaped back,åÎ the Wishbone is widely utilised as a dining or occasional chair, making it one of the great Danish iconic furniture designs of the 20th century. The legs taper to the ground to give a light appearance to the chair.Our Wishbone style chair is a high quality reproduction and remains true to the original CH24 design.
