I used it in my Tour of Colorado (actually, starting in Gunnison, where this product is from) and in the high Alps in Franc. It's a glorified Gatorade and it works. Particularly in Colorado, the only day I did not use it, I felt the effects of altitude (headaches, dehydration) that I did not feel when I used the product. Coincidence... maybe, but I bought some more for my trip to Peru and I'll use it.

Helpful for Altitude Sickness
I believe this did help with our altitude adjustment when we were out West. We drank prior to our arrival and during (either after skiing or before we left). My son also got sick the first day and then we started giving him some daily and was fine for the remainder of our trip.

Will Keep You Feeling Great at High Elevations
I have traveled many times over the past 10 years to elevations above 8,000 feet and spent the first 12-18 hours in bed with altitude sickness. It was to the point that I was considering not going on ski trips again. I even tried a prescription from my doctor with side effects almost as bad. I am currently in Beaver Creek and have been able to enjoy every minute of this trip. Start 3 days before with 2 packets and then I increased to 3-4 packets the first few days. I continued taking at night. Set an alarm and drink during the night. Then you can taper off 1-2 after a few days. This has been my experience after multiple trips. I made the mistake in Crested Butte of going to bed and not waking to take this and then spent 18 hours bedridden. This stuff is a miracle for me. Raspberry tastes the best but they don’t seem to be making it now. Grape is good also. I haven’t tried the orange.

It works!!
We first found this when traveling in Lake City, CO three years ago. We live in Texas and we're having trouble acclimating to the altitude. All the locals recommended and it worked! The next year, we went to a different Colorado location and couldn't find it so tried something else. That didn't work and we had issues our entire trip with shortness of breath. So, this year I ordered Acclimate before our vacation and started two weeks ahead of our trip. Absolutely no issues! I don't know what is different about this hydration powder than others, but Acclimate is the only one that works. I wish it were available everywhere!

Didn’t work
Fair warning: if you don’t take vitamins on a regular basis and then suddenly start taking these, it can give you real bad diarrhea. I went to Colorado & had 1 packet 2 days before leaving, 1 packet 1 day before leaving, and 2 the day we were traveling to Colorado and the day we got there I had extremely bad diarrhea. I think I would’ve been better off not taking these because since I had diarrhea I lost a lot of fluid, thus making me feel worse. And it didn’t help with altitude sickness, still felt light headed and nauseous. Everyone’s body is different so I’m just speaking on behalf of myself! I weigh about 115lbs and workout regularly.
