This is my fourth Crucial SSD. I bought it to swap out my older smaller Samsung boot SSD. Its a very fast drive and well worth the cost. I managed to get it for £60. Crucial has always been a quality brand and I expect o get to get a lot of reliable use from this drive. It really is a great upgrade for my aging AM4 backup PC.

Choosing the ideal NVMe drive can be a daunting task. There are so many different manufacturers and specifications out there but I had read numerous reviews before going for this drive and it gets consistently good reviews.I got the T500 2TB as part of a project to refresh an old desktop PC which had been using an SATA SSD as the main boot drive. This is so much quicker than the old SATA SSD and makes the PC feel like new.The drive was installed into my PC without problem and was immediately detected and ready for use.It does need a heatsink fitted or it can get quite warm while running. It shouldn't get too hot without one, but any heatsink helping to keep the drive cool will keep the drive running for longer.

PS5 PICKS UP READ SPEED OF ABOUT 5600-5800.if you want this SSD to clock Higher speeds in your PS5 you need to update the firmware through crucial, so if you dont have a modern PC to connect it to and wanted fatser than 5800/6000.Get a different drive. As for playing the games..... Well its still faster than the internal ps5 ssd..... So.......it's s good enough for me and anyone..... Anyone who wants faster....what to save a few seconds moving/installing a game?It wont load much faster, and certainly won't play the game faster.So. Basically this is the best value 2TB SSD you can get for your PS5.... Anything else is over kill.
