Beautiful and fully Queen Sized!
Best blanket bang for buck on Amazon!Sorry for the length of this review but i want to be thorough. *This is large, the size of a generous queen blanket! NOT just an "oversized throw". Winters I use it on my queen bed as a comforter topper and it covers the top edges of the mattress, with 5 or 6 extra inches hanging from the foot of the bed. Yeah.*Very warm with a nice medium-heavy weight to it.*Visually and Tactile-y pleasing; looks like real fur, but not so real that it looks creepy...velvety and sumptuous to the touch. Has a very subtle sheen. The picture on Amazon does not do it justice. I don't like fake fur unless it feels super soft and looks classy; this one does both.*Ruching is sewn in all over and looks like it does in the pics, even with the blanket spread snugly across the bed. (the ruching here is the real deal, it's not just draped to make it appear more ruched than it really is). *Does not shed fake fur fibers like others i have had!* Machine Wash on Delicate Cycle and Air Dry, it will turn out good as new, only softer! All that said, though, Please do BE CAREFUL how you wash/dry this...makes all the difference in longevity and softness, aka fabric integrity. I learned the hard way that the best way to care for this blanket is to wash it on the most gentle cycle your machine has, and to air dry it if possible, and if not, to dry it on extremely low heat or no heat dry setting! If you want more details how i found out firsthand how to care for this blanket, read on!OK, the 1st time i washed mine, i followed my gut and used my gentle wash cycle on cold, then hung it up to let it air dry. PERFECT, it looked and felt just the same as it did new, only softer!2nd time washing it, because i had spilled a condiment on it, i used the more vigorous "jeans/towels" cycle on warm. The seam separated in one corner. easy fix, but bummer still. Air dried it and, aside from the seam separation, it again turned out perfect regarding look and feel.Third time washing it, I again chose delicate (no more unraveling!). Where i REALLY messed up was drying it. REPEAT: this was MY FAULT! i put it in my dryer on medium heat and... it melted and became rough to the touch in more than a couple areas. It still looks nice but dosen't feel as soft...it also grabs hair and lint now. Lesson learned! Air Dry or NO HEAT or, if you must use heat, use Verry low heat (made for delicates) in dryer only.SUMMARY:Amazing Blanket (I'm ordering another today)Truly Large; Covers a Queen Sized BedSoft and RealisticMachine WashableCare for as you would any delicate or "fine washable" laundryWash: Delicate CycleDry: Air Dry or Put in Dryer on "No Heat" or "Very Low" Heat Setting
