How do know which size to buy? We will supply two bathrooms, dish washer, clothes washer. What size should I choose?

I noted someone below stating they got the largest one and they can only run one water source at a time. My guess is they installed it wrong by not getting the electric hooked up right, or maybe the unit was just defective, or they live in Alaska. I went under size with an Eco 27 a few years ago because that’s all my electric panel could handle. We have zero issues in the summer. During winter months we can only run one shower at a time and have to slowly fill a tub (maybe 3/4 fill speed). To save as much money as I am on electric bill and have unlimited shower lengths (only 1 person at a time mid-Dec to mid-March) is totally worth it. On here today because I’m thinking of upping my panel size so was thinking of going with a larger one now. Regardless, CCRC’s experience with the largest unit not working is nothing like the experience I’ve had, and again I intentionally undersized mine for the house. The website has a clear chart to explain size you need based on number of water fixtures in your home and ground water temperature.

My inlet temp is 44 degrees. I'm only concerned with using one shower. Will this supply 105 degrees at 1.75 GPM's?

My water heater receives a cold water supply of about 40 degrees, than produces HOT water @ about 140, depending on the distance between the heater and the shower (travel time) you should do fine.

Just to be certain, please confirm if this is a whole house water heater. Can I simply remove my current 50 gal water heater and install this?

We installed this last July and have been very happy with it. We have a small house of about 1000 square feet and 2 people and my daughter coming by every week with lots of laundry. We have had no problems what so ever.

I just bought the ECO 18. I was prepared to have a double 40A breaker installed, but the instructions say I need TWO double pole 40A. Is that correct?

The ECO-18 requires two seperate circuits therefore two 40A breakers. We love ours, infact we just bought a second one for the hot tub. Sure saves on the electric bill.
