Updated review - Got a new hose and it seems to work fine
A week after I got this hose I go outside and see that the thermostat is FRIED. What on earth. I contacted the company and they never responded to me and now the window is closed to return it.Update: They responded after seeing my review and sent me a new hose for free. It's been hooked up for about 2 to 3 weeks and it seems to be fine so far. No thermostat issues and their customer service has been very responsive now.

Do not purchase this hose
I purchased this in advance before it was time to use it. Used for 2 months and it stopped heating. My lines froze and I had to purchase another hose plus unthaw the lines. Wanted to get a credit or refund but I was told it was passed the warranty date. Would not recommend this heated water hose.

A Decent Value and a Must-Have for Cold Climate Camping
I live in a colder climate and enjoy camping in my RV in late autumn. This presents a risk of freezing lines during colder October or November evenings. This heated water line will help ensure I don't encounter any problems while I'm camping in cold conditions. The product description says it's rated to -20°F but I don't expect I'll ever push it that far. I just wanted something that would keep the line warm below freezing, like perhaps down to 10°F.It seem to be made pretty well and is more flexible than I imagined it would be, although it's still a little unwieldy to coil back up due to the bulk. The label says it uses 189 watts. I think that's a worst case, I found it used around 160 when plugged in.There's a 6-foot power cord with a lighted power indicator attached to the supply end of the hose. There's a temperature sensor attached at the delivery end. The sensor measures ambient air temperature and not the temperature of the water. It's supposed to activate the heater when ambient temperature drops into the mid-40's and turn off the heater once it reaches 60°F. The downside is that if you want cold water from the tap you'll have to let it run a bit before it drains all the warm water from the hose. The upside is that if you want just a short flow of tepid water you won't have to use your water heater in the RV.The instructions warn that you should use this with a GFCI (ground fault circuit interrupter) circuit and I strongly agree. It also says it should NOT be used with an extension cord but I don't see how that will always be practical. It's not like you always find a GFCI outlet within 6 feet of your water spigot. So I'll take that recommendation with a grain of salt.Included with the heated hose are two insulating sleeves to slip on over the junction where you screw the hose on, one for each end. Both ends of the hose have female fittings, so they also include a male adapter in case you need it. There are rubber washers already inserted in both female fittings. They also include a small roll of teflon tape to help seal the connection points. There was one odd unexplained item in the package: a small section of hose, less than 2" long. I'm not sure what this is intended for or if it's just a random piece of scrap that fell into the box when they packed it.Overall I found it to be a decent value and would give it 4-stars.
