This was a great addition in my studio. I hate trying to keep my finger on the clay when trying to trim, it always moves. This helped with that issue.

I purchased this spinner for trimming pots. I used it once, and it worked only with strong pressure. After use, I rinsed, dried and placed in my tool box. On the second attempt to use, it would not spin, at all. I tried many methods to loosen the 2 discs (dental floss, soap, WD40) without success. The color on the dental floss would indicate that it is rusted internally. Unfortunately, I tossed the packing material and cannot return. I would not recommend.

Works great for ceramics

I wasn't having any luck with holding pieces on the wheel while trimming. I tried using lugs of clay and my piece would just bend. I tried holding a finger on top and the piece would escape. This works beautifully.

Very versatile

Nothing to complain about with respect to how it functions. It does what it says. But I've found simply using your finger is on balance better.
