Metaltex Meat Grinder, Aluminium, Silber, 10 x 14 x 26.5 cm , Pack of 1

Having read some of the reviews for this grinder, you would be forgiven for thinking it might be the last thing you ever buy. I was certainly concerned when I read them after ordering!However, I was very pleasantly surprised when it arrived and I used it. Based on other people's photos I decided to clear out any small metal chips or other debris by mincing a carrot before putting any meat through it. The carrot came out clean as far as I could see with no contamination which gave me some confidence! I then gave it a very thorough wash (a lot easier than I expected, it disassembles nicely for cleaning).I then minced some diced beef to make burgers and it couldn't have been easier. No, it didn't make a mess. No, the meat wasn't turned to mush. No, the blade isn't made of plastic (the internal screw/auger is, but does the job). No, the grinding plate didn't disintegrate. And no, you don't have to be a weightlifter to turn the handle. I minced about a pound of beef and the whole thing can't have taken more than 5 minutes - bear mind this was my first time ever mincing meat. I was left with proper mince that made decent burgers.As one review shows, there was some very light scuffing on the grinder plate due to the movement between metal parts. I think this is almost inevitable on a manual grinder of this kind and it is only just visible so I'm not concerned.I can't speak for others but I would happily recommend this product based on my own experience.

The media could not be loaded. It does what it's supposed to do but the designer has not thought this through. When attached to the worktop it is so low that you cannot get a bowl under. The bowl I used in the video is the smallest one I have. That makes it somewhat useless. It is also very light and the cookie attachment is so thin that it bends by just touching it. It's for sure fron Alibaba . Very cheaply made

The media could not be loaded. I buy this product only for this purpose, to make traditional Easter cookies. I don’t know if it’s worth for meat grinding. Doesn’t leave any black marks from the metal. It’s perfect for me.

yet not dishwasher suitable as it became black after the wash! Please advice the customer as it really looks not nice now and it stained my hand. these items should be in stainless steel not alluminium!

I bought this to mince up pork loin steaks to make my own sausages. It isn't robust enough. Anything more than a tiny bit of fat and the mincer stops working and needs to be taken apart, cleaned and put back together. OK for making breadcrumbs I guess, but little else.

I decided to make American hash but didn’t have the equipment. Years ago I threw my metal, rust invested grinder away! However, I searched Amazon and found exactly what I needed. Purchased. Arriving the following day I proceeded to make my HASH! …..opened the box followed the well explained instructions and merrily proceeded and what a joy! Easy to assemble and before I could say “Bingo” my cast aluminium alloy mincer was turning happily away with my meat to perfectly ground morsels. Cant say enough a must! And if really adventurous……make your own sausages. Although Amazon produces everything under the sun and more……for me it was a joy to discover something so useful and even better @ a good price! Buy it……certainly won’t be disappointed..

Sceptical buying it after reading reviews but have to say it grinds liver nicely to add to burgers. Maybe i didnt have the issues others did, i greased my blade and grinder attachment with olive oil before starting and put the cover on tight but loose if that makes sense, i could get a smooth rotation. I suppose if it was tougher meat id need to put the cover on tightly but I was happy with the job it did on lamb liver. Trying chicken thighs tomorrow

I have really stuck with this machine and used it, adjusted it and tried to live with it but after tonight I have chucked it. Its a cheap and useless product and its about precision engineering. The cutting bit just doesn't work that well because it is not engineered well enough to have a flush fit with its mate. There seems to be this whole industry that has developed around getting people to buy something that looks like it might work so you take a punt but actually it doesn't so you have wasted your time and money and you are left with a little frustration but you will probably do it again. Don't.Amazon Prime, you are endorsing Chinese junk buy selling it here and you are undermining your value by doing so because it now makes up the majority of the stuff you are selling.
