An unusal and definitely rather special cheese!
One hundred pro-cent agreement with 'Cairistiona' in awarding this product five stars. This is a specialist cheese which is very expensive in its homeland of Norway. The price/weight is clearly indicated by the seller so I fail to see how the 'Very Expensive in my opinion' tag applied by 'rugger' has any relevance because that's axiomatic! The cheese has a taste reminiscent of fudge but with a much firmer texture. If you have already experienced it then you will know what a treat it is. If you haven't and can stand the expense then it is definitely worth the try. While cheese appreciation is a personal opinion, I consider this to be something special.

Better Late than Never
While having been initially disappointed at the non-delivery of the cheese within the timescale given (it appears that there had been a late delivery of the cheese to the seller) when the cheese eventually arrived it delivered on the most important point of all - taste. It is claimed that you either love or hate this cheese: I love it! The rich, nutty flavour provides a wake-up call to the palate. I eat a few slices for breakfast and the old taste-buds get kicked into action and remain alert throughout the day. Well worth the wait.

bit high and I would not buy in the summer as like others have said it is not packed for keeping ...
I can give the cheese 5 star + - but the price, bit high and I would not buy in the summer as like others have said it is not packed for keeping cool - at this time of the year no problem. I don't think the Royal Mail have over heated warehouses as they were the couriers and not as indicated refrigerated DHL vans. I also think the showing of two when the price is for each is a no, no.The cheese is fantastic and meets two of my best love foods Fudge and Cheese all in one....

My first taste of brown cheese - it’s scrumptious
I heard about the cheese from Sejsejlija on YouTube. I thought it sounded interesting. It’s actually really good. Kind of creamy, smooth, a little sweet, but not too much. Peanut butter, caramel, maybe ? It’s a taste you have to judge for yourself. It’s definitely Moreish !

Contains cows milk
This is Brunost, not Gjetost. When it says Gjetost then especially at this price I want a goats milk product, this cheese has unspecified quantities of cows milk and cows cream added. This is important for people that are lactose-intolerant and is really quite irritating.

Best cheese EVER
What more can I say other than I absolutely love this cheese.

A little piece of Norway ....... yum!
Ok, for the 250g, yes, it is dinky but it's cheaper than an airline ticket to Norway to get my brown cheese fix! I would suggest using a cheese slicer with this so the slices are thin and the taste not so 'goo-ey" (and it should last a little longer, too!). Try it on a slice of good wholegrain bread (without butter) or with a dollop of strawberry jam - if I had the 1-kilo sized cheese (can you imagine the cost?!) I would suggest using this cheese in a muffin recipe - those crazy Norwegians taught me well!! I don't think this is a cheese you would buy just out of curiosity due to the size and cost, but if you are familiar with it, go on, just treat yourself! Thank you so much, Bridgnorth Deli (seller), you have made this English girl-with-a-dash-of-Viking VERY happy - fast delivery and with free p&p! TUSEN TAKK!! :)
