Used this to make a flag, it's now at best pale peach after only two weeks outside. The black I purchased with it has stayed solid.This fabric is rather stiff - which suits kites but not some other uses. That might be useful to someone. The weave is also rather uneven with the ripstop lines far from orthogonal. Just don't choose this colour.Photo is of a polyester fabric of the same colour, a fresh piece of this emmakites product showing it arrived the right colour and then the flag that's been out for two weeks.

Nothing like the picture. Colour is a pale and ugly peach.

As a kite fabric it is superb. It can also be dyed with Rit dyes. I find it works well for Tie Dye. There are a few kites it might not work for, extremely high wind kites for example where a heavier fabric might serve better but for most winds it will make perfect kites like up to 20 ft deltas with minimal stress reinforcement. Colourwise it is excellent and for most purposes the colour range will answer perfectly without extra dye.

The Emma Kites Nylon is among the finest I have used easy to work with midway between soft and crisp it might not suit stunt kite makers but for deltas and compound boxes it is I think the best available and at a very good price. I do not know how it hot cuts because I don't make kites that way but it will sew well on domestic and industrial sewing machines including all dual feed - walking foot types.

The best kite ripstop I have ever used in 40 years of making kites it is the perfect blend of crisp and drapeable for all classic delta box and appliqued flat kites. When I started ripstop was very variable and most of what we could get third grade This is a reliable source and if the 16 colours are not enough it will take Dylon hand and Washing machine dyes to modify colours to what you like - I have a taste for inbetweens Citrine orange tawny kakhi mustards.
