Excellent purchase! I bought these to try to macguyver a Big Agnes MTN Glow rig into my tent and I wasn't disappointed at all. I was worried that the tiny little lights wouldn't be bright enough, but they were perfect! I bought two so that I could add one set to each side of my family's 8 person tent. They were bright enough (together) to light the entire tent. You could certainly get changed, organize, move around, etc with enough light. You could probably even read a book, if you had a smaller tent, but my tent roof was 7 feet high and when laying down, there probably wasn't enough light to read.I also intend on using these for my backpacking tent and I think these will have more than enough light to read by in that much smaller tent. The string is about 10 feet long and runs on 3 AA batteries (not included). I had them on intermittently for about an hour so I can't really speak to the battery life. The string is coated in plastic so I would imagine that they're more durable than the non-coated versions also available on amazon. The battery box has a switch which allows you to have it on (steady) or on (flashing). I can't imagine needing the flashing mode, but I assume that's mostly for decorative usage.My only advice is to bring sort of clipping mechanism to attach the light string to your tent as I had to rig it to hooks and pockets where I could.Bottom line: for the price, these did exactly what I wanted them to do and they do have plenty of light. Great purchase.

I left a similar review for the multicolored version of these lights. I'm thrilled with both! I bought these to use as portable tent lighting while camping. I can't wait to use them. I ordered five sets at $3.30 apiece, including shipping. This is the same type of product I've seen in stores for $10 or more! They arrived in just a couple days and were well protected in their packaging. While their construction does seem somewhat cheap and the battery cover can be tricky to slide on and off, every set is in perfect working condition. A tiny switch makes it easy to select between constant-on and flashing modes.The lights are BRIGHT, as in do-not-look-straight-at-them-or-you-will-regret-it-bright. I love that the strands are clear and very flexible; this will make it easy to camouflage them in a variety of projects.I don't know about you, but I've got big plans for these lights. If you need inspiration, here are just a few ideas:- home décor- college party lights (who cares if they get ruined by beer? they're cheap)- temporary outdoor lighting (a lot of light in a little package - great for camping)- DIY lighted holiday sweaters, wreaths, or garland- quick and easy birthday decorations- rave/party and nighttime fun run "apparel"- wedding décor (although be warned, these need some diffusion because they are WHITE white, almost blue, not a soft/warm white)The only thing I can't speak to yet is the battery life; we'll see how that turns out. Even if I'm not amazed by how long they last, I'll still be very pleased with this product.

These lights (mine were Day White) were exactly how I wanted and thought they would be! Bright, easy, portable, weren't heavy, etc. I've read some reviews on here that have said they were blue tinted, break easy, and not worth it. I've found it to be the complete opposite! The lights are as white as you'll ever get and as long as you treat that lights with care they won't break. Plus out of all 17 of my lights, none of them where broken, damaged, and ALL worked exactly how they were suppose to! The shipping was also super fast! These lights reached my house in the United States in just around 2 weeks (although take note that sometimes there are different situations and not always exact) I'm very pleased and hopefully they will last as long as other people have mentioned. These LED lights are beyond compare and probably the best out there, especially for the price! I recommend these if you want lights that are bright, easy, quick, and multi-purposed.

We got these for lighting a costume, and the battery case broke after it got dropped one time, and not even from a distance. Luckily, the lights still work. WE were going to duct tape the case anyway to conceal it, so it's ok, but just know these are made of cheap plastic and the battery compartment doesn't seem at all durable.The lights themselves all work and seem fine and of decent quality. They are small and the light does not diffuse much, so they give the effect of little stars when set in a black background. The wire is flexible and so these work well for lighting up a costume. I'd describe the brightness as certainly not dim, easily visible but not super bright.There's 2 settings, though it is isn't marked. It is easy to miss if you just flip the switch over quickly. You have to be deliberate and slow to get it to the first position. The position closest to off flashes them on and off. The other just keeps them on. I wouldn't call either of the settings a twinkle, they either all flash off and on, off and on, or they come on and stay on.

Lights were shipped from Hong Kong via USPS Air and arrived quickly and in perfect shape. I checked each of the 11 strings lf light and they were 100% functional. Very nice item of excellent construction - good as a high quality string of Christmas lights.They create a beautiful light that will be part of the centerpiece for our Valentine's Dance - dramatic, clean looking and so handy because of their battery power source!Great value; I highly recommend this seller and her product!Bob Cargill, Minneapolis
