A little tricky to install
Filter is good quality. The design lets you collapse it for installation.

Extremely difficut to install in 2017 nissan altima
The Spearhead Premium Filter appears to be well built and sturdy looking at it out of the box. These attributes work against in for installation in my 2017 nissan altima. Nissan makes it hard to install any cabin filter and the Spearhead filter does not help. The filter needs to be compressed at the center, tilted and then slid into the filter slot. Once inserted in the slot, the filter decompresses. Easier said than done. The Spearhead filter is just too rigid. After removing my glove box, I was able to get enough leverage to compress the filter, tilt it and jam it in. When it comes time to replace this filter, I'm sure it will be just as hard to remove. For my 2017 altima, any cabin filter needs to be very flexible for easier insertion. The Spearhead filter did not meet this requirement.Update: 12/27/2022The seller, Fractal Group Inc. offered me a full refund due to my installation problems with their cabin filter. To me, that shows great customer support and a company that really cares about their customers. I have made past SpearHead purchases and will definitely make SpearHead product purchases in the future. Thanks Fractal Group Inc.

Hard to install. Filter is not as flexible as OEM.
The filter is a little thick. Probably better filtration, but it made the install more challenging. It already a limited access issue, since the cabin filter box is located on passenger side under the glove box and behind the center dashboard. Very bad design. It took a lot of tries to slide the filter in.

Hire a very small person with small hands and a lot of patience to install
Product is well made, arrived on time and was same size as original. Biggest issue it not the filter, although it did have one issue, but the design/location of the filter holder, which is WAY up behind the glove box. Some videos show removing the side panel and glove box. Some show working from underneath, which is what I did as I was unwilling to take the car apart to replace a filter. There is absolutely no access for a normal person to reach this spot. Your arms/hands just don't bend that way. If you can reach it, you cannot see it, so it is pretty much by feel. Ended up lying on back, feet out the door, with head underneath and through a trial and error process finally got it to go in. The side pieces were much stiffer on the replacement, which added to the difficulty. Had to work them back and forth to give them some flexibility, which is what you need to get it started. The original filter sides were very flexible. You must pinch the filter in the middle to deform it to go into the slot, then work it back and forth until it is in final position. The instructions that come with it are useless as they are too small to even read. Watch a few youtube videos. Had I known this was going to be a major PITA I probably would not even have ordered and let the dealer do it.

2015 Nissan Altima/2012 Chrysler 300
1/30/19 Update: After a bit of work I was able to get the BE-776 installed properly (at least I think its in properly), but I did have to remove the glovebox to get better access to the cabin filter compartment. So now that I have both installed I'd have to say they do deserve the five stars because of the quality, fast shipping, and even the helpful advice from the seller telling me to manhandle the filter a bit.I actually purchased two of these filters in different styles for my vehicles, one for a 2015 Nissan Altima (BE-776) and one for a 2012 Chrysler 300 (BE-668) but it’s not letting me provide reviews for them individually. With the BE-776 for my girlfriend’s Altima I’m not sure whether I received the right size because it was quite a hassle getting it into the compartment and I know it’s not seated properly in there because some of it is still sticking out. As far as the quality of the air filter goes, it seems pretty great and it is definitely sturdier and feels way better than the one previously installed. I purchased one for my own car as well, however that one did not have any sizing/installation issues. The quality of the BE-668 for the Chrysler 300 air filter seems amazing compared to the Carquest Cabin Filters I usually buy at Advance Auto Parts. It was sturdy and fit easily into the compartment. I wish there was an option to subscribe so that I can have these BE-668 filters delivered regularly since I do often forget to change them out.I’m giving four stars because BE-776 would’ve got three stars due to the fit and the BE-668 would get five stars based on immediate impressions for quality and fit. I’ll update once I’ve driven a few more miles but initial impressions on this filter are great in the Chrysler!

Quality but stiffer than OEM so harder install
The filter material seems excellent. The bands at each end are terribly stiff, which makes installation harder than Nissan already made it. The bands need to flex to be able to install these filters. The extra stiffness causes extra problems. The way Nissan set things up for the cabin filter is that the opening is shorter than the cavity for the filter. Thus, the filter must be stuffed through the shorter opening before it can expand into place inside.I thought the filter I received was too big because of the size of the opening, and I was thinking of returning it. I looked up the filter needed for my 2016 Pathfinder in many places and they were all similar in size: seemingly too big. I watched a few installation videos on YouTube and realized that there was more room behind the opening so the filter was probably the right size after all. I tried again, and it worked. The secret is to curl the ends — top and, especially, bottom — of the bands inward, towards the filter material, relying on them to straighten again once inside. Finally, note that the cover only engages at the top when the cover is angled so the bottom is well away from the opening. Once engaged properly at the top, then swing the bottom inward and it will latch easily. (If it doesn't latch easily, then work again on getting the top into position.)
