This seat works exactly as advertised!
For those who need to sit a little higher in order to get off the pot, this is it! It is very easy to install and use. This is the second one I've purchased because the first one worked superbly in a different bathroom. Great product.

The perfect riser
Finally, a seat riser that actually works as advertised! After struggling with other styles of seat risers that would not stay put and worrying about Mom falling, I happened to see this style while trying to find something that would actually work. This riser bolts down to the toilet the same way a regular seat would, and the bolts are long enough to place the regular seat on top of the riser. It's snug and safe for her to use, and it raises up, making it easy to clean under. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again if needed.

Hey Buddy! Need a Lift?
As a long time neuropathic (sciatica, hip joint arthritis, etc) who lives alone, it was a matter of time before I had to get a seat to help me and my lower body for myself after living in a household where an extender was absolutely necessary. What I remembered about that was the unibody construction of it was solid, but the metal screws that held it in place, and had to be moved for monthly cleaning, would get rusty and difficult to take off. I'm not sure why it was never discussed to get a hinged lid to knock that out, but once I got on my own, that became my priority. So I opted for this one, and it's been a Godsend. I can keep up with this every other day and, for the most part, as long as I don't shift my weight quickly while seated (which generally only happens when I lose my balance or pass out), it stays put like the unibody extenders. This really does the trick and makes it much easier on my hips and back. Give it a shot for the ease of cleaning alone!UPDATE (20 July 23): It’s time to replace this, purely because I’m a firm believer in good hygiene, and not because this doesn’t do the job. As noted above, cleaning is an absolute breeze. The only true knock against this is that any sudden shift in weight will cause it to slide away just far enough to stress the metal bolts, but that has only happened a couple times. Also, I had the elongated version, but it still didn’t completely cover the bowl to the front edge. Not a dealbreaker, unless aesthetics is a big deal to you. But yeah…this is worth it to me! Second one will be on its way soon!

Exactly what I needed - big improvement over older types of elevated toilet seats
This replaces a larger older plastic raised toilet seat and boy is this an improvement. The old raised toilet seat had a screw in the front that I would scrape my leg on when getting out of the shower, and it was too high for me, and a nightmare to clean. Also there was no lid. I wish I had replaced that horrible one earlier with this one - my toilet is no longer a huge ugly eyesore but looks more like a normal toilet since you can use a normal toilet seat and lid on top of it. It was as easy to install as a toilet seat and once you secure the bolts, making sure they are very tightened, it does not move around. The height is perfect so I don't hurt my knees. The hinge design makes it easy to clean the toilet. This is excellent.Update: Still pleased with this, but it is not as strong as I had hoped. The top of this now has a dent & crack in it caused by one of the plastic seat bumpers on the normal toilet seat placed above it. It still works well and the dent isn't visible except when I clean the toilet, but I am betting I will have to replace this in a year or two.

Awkward
Doesn't fit well, plastic will crack if tightened screws, moves around if screws aren't tightened. Has an awkward fit doesn't line up with the seat we have. I don't recommend.

Perfect height and doesn't move.
I had 2 surgeries for a perforated ulcer, I literally almost died. I couldn't possibly sit down to go potty, while in the hospital, they had a raised seat, like this one. I immediately set about looking for one. And yeah, like most, Amazon's my go to search place. Found this toilet seat, can I just say, IT WAS A GAME CHANGER!! It sets at exactly the back of my knees, so I didn't have to hurt myself to sit OR STAND!! I'm 5'3" and weigh 115lbs, this seat seriously was absolutely PERFECT!!! If you need a raised seat, for whatever reason, THIS is the absolute PERFECT one. It went on super easy, is strong and doesn't shift or move ANY when I sit or stand. This is THE ONE!!
