After 5yrs, 3 kids, my dog and the husband, she is still going strong. Aside from the accidental bleach stain I gave her (gives her character) there are no rips or tears. She’s even been to other countries and travels well lolIn all seriousness, I couldn’t be happier with this blanket. She gets softer and snugglier with age. Highly recommend.

Let me preface this by saying that after living in a colder climate for years I became accustomed to sleeping under heavy layers of blankets. The weight always ensured a peaceful rest but in the summer it proves to be unfeasible...until now. I was apprehensive at first about buying a weighted blanket because I feared that with it being heavy but thin, I would still end up waking up in the middle of the night overheating and sweating but I have not experienced that at all. Once you are under the blanket and setting in it is easy to forget that the it is weighted until you try to move it which I like. With my eyes close I get the same feeling of weightiness that I got from my old comforter and quilt combo without all the extra insulation. I can't remember having a longer series of restful nights of sleep than I have had since my purchase. My only complaint would be that I wish it were a little bit bigger. I bought the biggest one and the size fits the dimensions of my queen size bed with no overlap. It's not really an issue if you plan on putting it into a duvet cover (which I do). Also with the weight of it, it heavily resists sliding around on the bed so you may not need the extra length and width that you would normally tuck under the mattress to hold it in place anyway. I'll be buying another one very soon!

YES! BUY THIS!!! Just do it. I know what you're thinking: "Over $100 for a blanket?!?" but it is so magical and amazing. My husband bought me this blanket for Mother's Day and I tried to get him to send it back because I was appalled by the price. But he convinced me to sleep with it just once, to see if I liked it or not. AND OH MY GOD. I can't remember the last time i slept so soundly. I have two small children so sleep is a hot commodity in my house. It's rare and it never lasts long. But this blanket seriously made me remember what it felt like to sleep before having children. So glorious. So wonderful. The only downfall is that you can't stay in bed forever because it's highly frowned upon. Also, you can't grab it by the corners and whip it (like you can with a normal blanket) to try to make your bed with it, unless you've got some serious upper body strength because it'll make you feel like a puny human for being defeated by a blanket.

My ability to get to sleep improved once I got this blanket. The weight is evenly distributed and stayed that way after washing. (You have to wash it in a front-load washer.) My cat got under it as I was making up the bed once, and slept all day under there. It folds fine for storage when you don't need it because the weight of the blanket makes it compress itself. So it folds far more compactly than a comforter. Folded, it takes up about the same space as a quilt or light blanket.This blanket is of course not a cure for anxiety. It will work better for you on some nights than others, depending on where your head is at. But it is a great addition to a good sleep routine. The size I got works for blanket and throw so you can wrap yourself up when you're watching TV or reading on the couch.

Especially for the price.This is the best thing ever! This weighted blankets is magical. Once you are underneath it, you relax and the world melts away. I have never slept so well. I use it every night. This has got to help people without anxiety too. Just pure relaxation.Also, it has been super hot this summer and I have been fine under the blanket. This is not an insulating blanket so you can layer up on cold nights or sleep comfortably underneath on hot summer nights.Last thing, this blanket is good looking. High quality. I purchased this blanket six months ago. I used to suffer from severe insomnia- lying awake nearly all night until 4am or later. Since I’ve had this blanket I’ve not had a problem for even a single night. The pressure keeps my body still when I’m restless and soothes any sort of anxiety I feel when I’m trying to go to bed. I purchased a duvet to go with the cover, as I read previous reviews that stated they had an issue wth the pellets coming out. I haven’t experienced any sort of problem with holes or loose pellets at all. I expected the blanket to be hot but it’s suprisingly cool. I still use my regular sheet and quilt underneath it and still remain cool through the night.I highly recommend this blanket. The good nights sleep is certainly worth the price tag. I would never even travel without bringing this blanket with me. I can’t imagine sleeping without it. 10/10

Overall, this is a great weighted blanket and, for me, has done what it is advertised to do: help me sleep better.The weight (15 lbs) is perfect and, after nearly 18 months of use, I can attest that it is quite durable. If there is an inherent drawback, it's that it is very difficult to clean and keep clean. The fabric seems to attract everything from lint to dust. I wish I'd known this prior to purchasing and I would have gotten a duvet cover for it, so I advise that if you're going to purchase, make the investment of some sort of slip cover that can be easily laundered as well.
