I received two of these (returned the first one) both had a lot of cosmetic damage from shipping. Did anyone else have this issue?

No, mine was brand new and no marks. Literally the entire piece goes under the car so basically out of sight.

It fits the 2017 Pilot. I do not know about 2007.

What electrical wires are needed with this?

That will depend on the car model. The hitch is pure mechanic. You may need to buy the electrical system for your vehicle and install unless it comes ready ( built in system)
