Berne 2XL Regular Perfect!
When researching which coverall to get from the short list of good coveralls I found issues when it came to sizing.Berne makes it simple to figure your size. What size of shirts or coats do you wear? That will be the size of the fit you get around your upper body. The length is your inseam. I wanted room when bending over, kneeling and then standing back up etc. I was lucky to have found and tested a few off-brand full coveralls at a secondhand store for sizing. That was when I realized the length is important or you'll end up in a painful bind. Now I've had time in the cold Colorado snow with this coverall. Negative 9 degree F the other day, and has been a record -24 this winter.I'm 5' 8" so lengthwise I was either gonna be short or regular. I figured I'd rather have too much length and cuff the pant legs if needed. A regular as it turns out is perfect! :) It is zippered and buttoned to to fit around the boots. Two buttons to take up or release room for the boots - nice touch. Keeps the snow out of my boots. Easy to get into. No need for cuffing as it turns out. A regular length works perfect for "ball room" and the buttons work great for snug boot fit.2XL fits over many layers which is how I like to prepare for cold, zero degree F work. In other words they take into account you will have your layers underneath even though those layers are also 2XL in my normal size. I can wear 5 shirt layers under and still get in easy, or two shirts, a flannel and a fleece. Anyway its great for however you want to prep for cold work. The denim is tough but easy to work in, elbows are pleated to bend easy and the knee has an extra layer, plenty of zippered pockets for devices, pens, also access to inside layers from the outside are snapped.Very well made and insulated. Nice inside cuffs to keep out the snow on the wrists.Berne is very competitively made when compared to other big name brands like Carhartt or Duluth. In my opinion even smarter and better engineered.UPDATE:A year later and I'm often working in my pajamas under these coveralls. We've had another record cold -27 F° and I can zipper down the front to cool down. Never any snow in my boots, worked in a blizzard on Feb 13th.

Sturdy and so useful
OK, I bought these for Montana winter work outdoors. The women's versions of these products are never as well made as the men's even when they're the same brand. These insulated coveralls totally rock!Well insulated with side zippers at the legs to get on and take off without removing work boots. Pockets and zippers everywhere to hold things without losing keys or tools in the leaves or garden trimmings. Good storm cuffs at the wrist to keep out the cold. The 100% cotton duck exterior is sturdy and should last a very long time. The corduroy collar is also a nice warm touch. They wash and dry well without shrinkage.I followed the sizing guidelines based on my jean size (30 x 30) and figured out that I would need a medium short. They fit perfectly including leg length. The only nit that I have is that the torso is a bit short and makes it somewhat of struggle to get in and out of the coveralls. If you're not flexible, then I recommend sizing up, maybe in length, to be able to take them on and off with ease. And, love that they come in my favorite clothing color, basic black. Like them so much that I ordered a second coverall as back-up.

Mens Small Short for a woman-GREAT product!
Berne Mens DELUXE ( type/model I417) in Mens size Small/Short. Number 1 qualifier for this review= Purchased for a 5' 1" woman about 118#, 60+ years. Fit is mostly good. She had tried on a youth XL in Keys Polar King ("model" 959.28) and these fit her through the body MUCH better and the legs were about the same....legs a little long-about a 25" inseam for the Small/Short, BUT with the double snaps at the bottom of the leg they ride on the top at the ankle of her Bogs Classics just fine-leg length fit with the snaps snapped was better than the Keys Polar Kings by far. So to sum up, fit of the Bernes in Mens Small/Short was more comfortable and warmer than the Keys Polar Kings in youth XL."Imported"=Place of manufacture=BangladeshFeatures worthy of note (and also to note, this review is for the Berne DELUXE style-Berne also has a Standard Style that does not have near as many features-most notable the Standards only have boot top leg zips- and are only $12.00 MSR less). The folks that designed these obviously have used and worked in insulated coveralls and listen to feedback. 1) Double knee 2)Nylon reinforced leg hem to reduce the usual and inevitable first wear out at the bottom of the legs 3)Double snaps in the hem to make the leg fit your boot better. 4)LOTS of pockets, inside and out, and tool loops. Pliers/side cutter pockets, hammer loop, pencil, cell phone pockets to name a few-inside pockets with zips and velcro. Chest pockets are zippered 5)Knitted wrist cuffs hidden up inside the sleeves 6) rear pockets double reinforced 6) snaps in place under the collar for an optional (available separately) snap on drawstring hood 7) Leg and front zips have storm flaps with snaps 8) back is pleated to allow better movement 8) elbows are pleated to allow easier arm movement 9) Leg zippers go to mid thigh then are tacked for about 4" then another zipper so you can get to your inside pants pockets. (I am NOT a fan of just boot top zippers in insulated coveralls which is all the Key Youth Polar Kings and the Berne Standards had to offer). These are for being out in the cold and wind and working while doing so. These were purchased for wrangling cows, horses, chickens, dogs and cleaning up after the same whether it is light or dark. Still comfortable when just standing around admiring the place, your handiwork and all the critters though. Even brand new the outer fabric is not too stiff or harsh. The combination of the outer shell features and the inner fill and lining seem to be engineered better than any insulated coveralls I have yet encountered. Warm and protected without feeling like a 50's kid bundled up and immovable and looking like the Michelin man. When my insulateds are due for replacement, the Berne Deluxe will be my first choice.

good fit
OK, 5'10'' about 250 lbs, mostly belly. I went with the 2xl to make sure I'd have enough room to fit easily over clothing without having to remove layers. Aside from being a little baggy they fit great. I can move easily in them and are quick and easy to take on and off. Quality is very nice, better than I expected. large pockets on the hips with access to my pants, also has zipped pockets on the chest which are also pretty big. Fabric elastic cuffs that are up inside the the canvas cuff so you don't look like a doofus. Price was less than half of tough duck, dakota, carhartt, and others i looked at. Overall 5 stars
