Quality product but installation proved problematic
Good quality print, reasonably fast, and not too noisy. Attractive in appearance and appears well manufactured. Installation was ‘a pain’ and I spent 20 min on the phone with a technical adviser. Eventually sorted and printer operating first class.

Easy to set up
Easy to set up. Does everything a printer should do. Easy to control with the the Canon Print App and the print quality is excellent

Excellent but no A5 borderless
Well this is my first Canon printer for many years and I’ve got to say I am impressed by the speed of set up right up to the print quality which have all so far come from mobile phone images, be aware that it does do borderless prints up to A4 but for some reason NOT A5 which is a big shame which I wish Canon will address in the future. Anyway set up is really easy using the Canon Print app I am nearly 61 years old so if I do it you can, printer quality is excellent and the touch screen is very responsive, all in all 5 stars from me, but Canon please look at adding A5 borderless printing please.

Bit of a disaster.
It was a bit of a disaster. I got the printer set up fine and printed the first test page (which jammed, which I figured was just bad luck). The black ink was faded and then stopped appearing at all. I phoned Canon customer service and spent 30mins on the phone doing 2 'cleans', a 'deep clean' (to unclog the printer, apparently) and then I was told to turn off the printer for 24hrs, do another 'deep clean' and see what happened. I waited the 24hrs and did the 'deep clean' but then couldn't test the printer as the cleans had used up all of the actual ink in the cartridges. When I told Canon this, they told me to buy more ink to see if the printer was working. By this point, the most I had got from the printer was one faded poster and the ink that had been originally paid for (that had come with the printer) had been used up trying to fix the printer and get it to work properly.I was told by Canon and by their Amazon Distributors that they wouldn't send me more ink to test if the printer was working as it might be a waste of their money, if the printer was actually broken. I pointed out that I had wasted days on a faulty printer but they made it clear that it wasn't really their problem. They offered to refund the printer and send someone to pick it up so I packaged the printer back up and gave it to the pick up guy the next day. I got my refund 4 days later. All a bit of a time waster and I wouldn't recommend the experience to anyone else.

Excellent value for money
Bought this to replace an older (but not much older) Canon printer that had caused us a lot of problems by refusing to print from iPads/iphones. Could not get Canon to give any practical solutions. Looked at other makes, but they were either too expensive or you were tied into their inks. Eventually decided to give Canon another chance and so far this model is excellent. Prints easily and quickly. I’m not printing photos so am happy to use compatible inks from other companies. Time will tell, but so far very pleased with it.

Good Printer
Good value Just over a 100 pounds sterling Good printer if printing only a few.pages a week because of cost and 3 colours one cartridge replacement Can’t find other cartridge maker replacements So have to buy expensive CANON own cartridges

Easy & good, once you get past the terrible set up instructions
It’s a nice simple printer once you get it set up! Something must have got lost in translation, but I ended up using the internet and YouTube to get it connected to my broadband wireless because the url code instructions are pretty useless. Sort that out Canon, please.
