Super Easy Replacement
Bought this to replace my broken Genesis 3.0 system. All necessary adapters were there and had the unit installed in less than 15 minutes.Everything worked perfectly, except for the remote....and I am pretty sure it is the CR2032(??) battery that just needs replacing. The remote does work...just needs a new battery. I would have replaced it, but I did the install out in the middle of nowhere. The instruction booklet could use some work. While it is complete, whomever printed it and stapled it together didn't know what they were doing. Some pages are upside-down and some backwards. I seldom read the directions anyway! Haha!In my humble opinion, this unit is Way, WAY better than the Genesis GT 3.0 that it is replacing.

works great
Bought this to replace my road-weary Concertone ZX700. I'm sure I won't use all the different inputs available, but it works well for what I need it for. Very grateful for the included adaptive harnesses - I initially dropped the ones I needed while I was unboxing it, and for a day I thought I was going to need to butt-splice all the wires myself. Was very relieved when I found them in the corner next to the couch!

Excellent Upgrade
I enjoyed how easy it was to install and fit the original wiring harnesses. It does well syncing up the TV now through the HDMI ARC for full sound.Only issue I had is the remote does not work and would like this replaced, if possible, without returning the whole stereo which is now installed and the original packaging discarded. Please advise if this is possible.Thank you again for such a great product!

No audible dialog
Everything works great except there is no audible voices when playing a dvd. Background music , and other sounds are great. When someone speaks you see lips move and close captioning below, and no sounds come from actors. Very disappointing.

Good product and great seller
Product is as described by the seller. Installed this into my 5th wheel as a replacement for a Concertone zx600 that had failed. The irv66 was a direct fit into the existing cut out and even came with the adapter harness to change over from the old radio. The only issue I have is the remote did not come with the battery but that is not a big issue. Can not give a 5 star review because it has not been installed long enough at this point

Works but can be glitchy and a bit underpowered
I purchased this unit and have had it installed for one camping season as of the date of this review. It replaced a Concertone RV2004D that served me well for over 12 years. I never had a single issue with the RV2004D and would have purchased another identical unit if it had been available. It had individual adjustments for the level of output sent to each of the surround sound speakers which was very important, since the placement of surround sound speakers is rarely if ever optimum in an RV. The iRV66 does not allow this very critical feature and sound quality suffers as a result. The RV2004D also had much higher power output and significantly better dynamic range than the iRV66. especially when playing DVD's. Radio and CD volume levels seem sufficient. However, on every DVD I have played, the volume must be maxed out in order to hear the quieter passages, while becoming too loud in the louder passages; I never had that problem with the RV2004D.Also, if you leave the DVD or CD in the unit after it has finished playing and then power the unit off, when you turn it back on, the unit has trouble recognizing there is disc inside it and it just spins; and it will not eject the disc. The unit must be turned off and then on again and you then have to push the eject button immediately to get it to eject the disc. I have experienced this problem consistently; this could just be a glitch in the unit I received, or the problem may be more widespread with others who have purchased this unit.Another annoyance with this unit is how slowly it responds to command buttons (source, pause, rewind, fast forward, etc.) on both the unit itself and on the remote control. After inserting a CD or DVD into the unit, it often takes 25-30 seconds to actually start playing the disc. And don't bother to insert any disc that has a scratched surface (slightly or otherwise) because my unit rarely reads any such disc; and when it does, it often skips across portions of the DVD and/ or CD; I can only assume the iRV66 lacks any error correction circuitry inside to allow it to read slightly scratched discs. To be fair though, clean and unscratched discs all played flawlessly every time.I had another problem with getting the subwoofer to work, but I do not believe that was any fault of the iRV66. There are two subwoofer outputs, labeled SUB1 and SUB2 on the iRV66, just like on the RV2004D. I wired these leads to the same output locations but received no subwoofer output; only occasional scratchy bleeps. After opening up the cabinet that houses the subwoofer(s), I discovered there was only one subwoofer installed in my trailer; however, there are two sets of wires (one set for SUB1 and one set for SUB2) going into the subwoofer, even though there is only one 10" sub speaker in the box. There was no way to open the subwoofer enclosure (without destroying the enclosure) to see what "magical wiring" the factory had done inside to accommodate two sets of connections. So, I disconnecting one of the subwoofer wires leading into the subwoofer enclosure and then the speaker started working fine; I checked both outputs (SUB1 and SUB2) and found no difference in output quality, so long as one output was connected. I suspect that the RV2004D had some sort of internal wiring that was made for the subwoofer in my specific trailer so that both SUB outputs from it could be wired into one subwoofer enclosure with only one driver thereby allowing it to have twice the bass output; this appeared plausible because with only one SUB output connected from the iRV66 to the subwoofer, the bass output seemed less than when it was connected to the RV22004D. I think if you had 2 separate subwoofers, the iRV66 would work fine and feed them both correctly. I chose to explain this problem here just in case someone else is installing this unit in a 2004 or newer Rockwood travel trailer and is having trouble getting the subwoofer to work. The primary reason I purchased this unit is because it is the only one I could find that is sized to fit inside the same opening size originally made for the RV2004D. There was simply no more room to enlarge the opening to install alternate higher quality home theater equipment, not to mention the additional hassle of having to install an inverter to get the 12V DC incoming power line converted to 110V AC to operate it. If however I continue to experience the problems I have been, and/or others crop up, I may consider completely modifying the upper cabinet and building a space to do a 110VAC equipment upgrade.I would have given the iRV66 a 4-star rating if it weren't for the disc recognition and eject problems with the unit. I could never give it a 5-star rating due to the lack of individual speaker output adjustability, the lack of output power, and the poor dynamic range of the unit.I wouldn't say I "regret" my purchase because the "direct fit" replacement does prevent the hassles of having to rebuild the space where the unit is mounted and the unit has, so far, played the CD's and DVD's I have fed it. However, I am a bit disappointed in the lack of quality control in a piece of electronics costing $350+. Unfortunately, there are not very many companies that manufacture12V RV entertainment equipment like this, therefore alternate options are extremely limited. With the iRV66 being pretty much the only direct fit replacement for untold numbers of RV's in use today, this manufacturer has a captive audience who have few, if any, other options. In any given industry, lack of competition is typically great for a company's bottom line, but usually not so great for the consumer with regards to product pricing/value and product reliability. While this unit is selling for around $350, it's value (again IMHO) is probably closer to $200 - $250. But, it's hard to fault any company for charging a higher price and making a healthier profit just because they happen to have little to no competition; that's just the way supply and demand works. In the end, the iRV66 fills a need for a direct fit replacement of an RV 5.1 surround sound entertainment system. While it may be a bit overpriced (IMHO) and may have a few glitches (at least in my case), it has worked well enough for me this season to be considered a 3-star purchase, which to me means it's an acceptable product. As long as it continues to function correctly for the next few years, I will consider the purchase to have been a good decision and would consider it a "recommended purchase".A lengthy review for sure, but I hope others find it helpful in making an informed choice.Cheers!

Excellent RV Entertainment Center Upgrade!
The unit arrived early, was very well packaged, and the color coded wires simplified the replacement process. Our old unit was circa 2012 (Elite EED-VO2) and was apparently improperly installed by the RV manufacturer. When we completed the installation, we discovered we had a sub-woofer located below the Refrigerator cabinet!!! The depth of sound and the quality is great! We are now able to play CDs and DVDs with a full surround sound entertainment coming through the TV as well as the RV's speaker system. The Blue Tooth technology allows us to play music, review photos, or videos too. We love it!Great product, quick delivery and easy installation. We highly recommend the iRV66 Entertainment System!!!
