Surprisingly addictive!
Like many others in North America, I first heard about this product on From the Factory. After trying my first one, I thought they were pretty good but nothing special, especially for the high price here in the USA. However, for some reason, I kept thinking about them and wanted more. They are surprisingly addictive! I could eat these every day! Pop it in the microwave, heat it up, and yum!

Very. Rich taste
Saw the factory on tv, it's a different treat. English food. Thick loaf, cut it up in smaller pieces.

Very tasty loaf
Tasty, and reasonably priced.. It lost points as this is the third time of ordering from this company and each time the items are so poorly packed they arrive flattened. So you don't get a loaf as pictured, you get a flat bread and no amount of stretching returns it to it's "normal" shape. Takes the enjoyment out of it.

Don't believe the "Best Before" date!
Delivery and packaging were good, and they taste great. But note that each loaf had a 'Best Before' sticker '03-14-22' - many months away - but don't believe it - in the UK they have a shelf life of only a couple of weeks - distributors in the US keep it frozen, and I'm sure this date is to help them manage their freezer stock. So eat within a few days, or re-freeze (it freezes well). Also they are listed as 150g per loaf, but are actually 190g.You can see both the date and the weight in the photo.

What Were They Thinking?
As an American trying this for the first time, it's definitely an acquired taste. No malt flavor at all, not sweet, rubbery texture(The package says "squidgy energy.") It suggests something from Victorian times that poor people would have to eat. But, apparently millions are made and sold in Britain.

Yummy
Soft, squishy and completely undesirable if you've never had it. Nothing like it exists anywhere.

Bad Cake
Today (15/04/2021) I opened the second of three loaves that I purchased. All three had the same sell by date 11/2022. I always make an effort to closely look at the packaging to ensure that it's still sealed and all appeared to be good prior to opening. As you can see from the photo the loaf was moldy. The first loaf consumed several weeks ago had been perfect, as was the third one opened after discovering the bad loaf (I didn't eat all of it, just had 2 slices, but I could easily scoff the lot in one sitting).I do not have a problem paying the high price for these loafs, as they are normally always of the highest quality and delicious. But I do have a problem with paying top dollar and throwing them out. Not acceptable.
