Does the job
This shelf/medal dsplay does the job and my daughter likes it. It is a bit smaller than expected, and it would be nicer if finished (looks raw) but it works and is sturdy.

It is unfinished.
Buy some chalk paint and some spray glaze to finish it. It turned out nice. Very happy with it. Holds the running medals nicely.

The wood is extremely light. In order to add something I stained it a darker color and puthis name on the lip.

Holds all his medals and important baseballs
My son loves this. Has all his XC and track Medals on it and some baseballs too. It is unfinished wood so can leave it, stain or paint. We left it for now.
