TotalMount Outlet Mount for Amazon Cloud Cam

This made it so much easier to place my camera in the kitchen. I have it plugged in to an outlet on the counter by the door. It has a clean look, no cords or clutter. I can plug my Echo Show in right below the camera, too.

I delayed installing this like other projects mainly due to the fact that my outlet was a ceiling receptacle for my garage door. Getting multiple deliveries for the holidays and with porch pirates preparing to plunder packages like The Grinch I decided to finally install my Cloud Cam (highly recommend) and TotalMount. Although I required a ladder, it actually took me longer to download and set up the required apps then install both the mount and the camera. This was a no brainer operation and I was able to keep the camera mounted upside down with the supplied grounding plug and the 3-prong plug from my garage door opener. I’ll probably a glue or caulk it to secure it for the long-term just due to the constant opening and closing of the garage door. Great design.

I took the mount out of the box and it took me about 90 seconds to have my camera mounted to an outlet just below my kitchen cabinets. I had absolutely no problems. The camera fit snug and perfect (be sure and follow the directions). The short cord is perfect and I am going to buy another one for sure!!

TotalMount is very handy. Works well with the camera. I was a little confused by an email I received after I purchased the product. The TotalMount comes with a short cable that attaches camera to electrical plug. Perfect. But the email directions recommended I use the extremely long cable that came with the camera. The long cable just doesn’t work well with the TotalMount. I don’t know how to deal with all the extra cable. It’s too long and an eyesore. So, TotalMount needs to resolve or better explain which cable to use and why.

Garbage product over 16’ Great for 10’ Too many false alarms Had it for 2 months and now it just triggers all of the time and nuisance trips. Doesn’t pick up motion early enough to even capture the action. Big thumbs down.
