Promix Vegan Protein

I have tried a gazillion vegan, gf protein powders and cannot say more nice things about this one. It tastes delicious....not too sweet and zero chalky after taste. I had the hardest time digesting even the best quality whey protein, so I was worried yet another protein powder would cause problems. I tried other brand of pea protein and pumpkin seed protein, and they were so so. Flavor got old quickly and the ingredients of other pea protein included a lot of filler ingredients I wanted to avoid. Right away with Promix, the bloating stopped. I felt satisfied but not stuffed. The amount of protein is perfect for me, and I feel stronger than ever. My 14-year-old has just discovered my stash and is now loving it too. I read lots of reviews before I purchased this protein powder and was almost about to try a different brand, but I loved the clean aspect of the ingredients and ignored the nay sayers. There will always be some. The price is very comparable to many other brands on the market, so evaluating based solely on taste and quality...I give it an A+. Try it. You will not regret your purchase!!!

This pea protein powder is hands-down the most disgusting, unusable protein product I've ever wasted money on. The second it touches liquid—water, milk, plant milk, doesn't matter—it instantly transforms into a thick, disgusting foam that looks like someone dumped dish soap in the shaker. No amount of blending, vigorous shaking, letting it sit, or adding ice makes a difference. The foam just sits there stubbornly on top, refusing to dissipate even after hours of sitting! What’s left underneath is a watery, gritty sludge. It’s undrinkable. You can’t sip it without getting a mouthful of frothy air. I’ve tried every trick in the book, and nothing works. This isn’t just poor mixability—this is a defective product. Save your money. Zero stars. Avoid at all costs.

Taste is not great and has a very gritty texture. I plug my nose when drinking so I don't have to taste it, then I have peanut butter ready on a spoon to eat then unplug my nose. Next time I will get the unflavored version. The vegan version does not bloat me up and I have had allergic reactions to other protein powders and this one was not a problem. It makes me feel nutritionally satiated, especially after a workout and that is what I was looking for. Not some fruity protein mix with fake sugars.

I tried this vegan vanilla protein powder after my previous one seems to no longer be sold. This tastes amazing and I love the ingredient list. My body digests it well, and it is great for mixing into baked recipes. Where I have a couple of issues are actually huge detracting factors. In smoothies, it stays very gritty. I can get over this, but my previous vegan protein disappeared, so it is disappointing for this to be so gritty. Also, the packaging is atrocious. When you open the bag, the powder is packed into the zipper closure. I spent a lot of time trying to tap and brush the powder out so I could close the bag, but it will not seal. After I had powder everywhere and wasted a bunch of time, I gave up and transferred it to a glass container. There has to be a better closure for this bag because my last brand’s zipper closure worked beautifully.

Great flavor, quality and clean. A bit pricey but buy chocolate from another brand. Vanilla is delicious and mixes well with smoothies and yogurt or liquid for a snack.

I am really quite disappointed with this protein powder. It’s VERY chalky. The flavor is just “okay”. I usually add protein powder to my muesli every morning and it’s a meal I really look forward to. I no longer look forward to that meal with this protein powder being added. I don’t like to waste, so I will finish the bag. But, I won’t be purchasing it again.

I loved the flavor, not too sweet and clean. For the quality of ingredients I even felt like the price was fair. I did not love the consistency. In the blender it was fine, kind of foamy, but in a shaker jar rather clumpy. Would I buy it again, with no soy or gluten, probably yes!

The taste is very mild, the texture is nice and creamy, mixes easier than any other I have tried, no bitter aftertaste, no grainyness, not cloyingly sweet, or unnessarily salty, no sugar, gives you plenty of iron, and 72 servings is a good value. Only critique is that the packaging is crummy - the pull tab pulled off mine when I went to open it and I had to use scissors to open the bag. Would recommend.
