Multiple things in one device makes this so worth it
As a creative, I absolutely love that this guitar is for all levels of players from beginners to advanced! It’s super fun to make songs especially with the built in drums looper and effects! It also looks amazing & the build & sound quality is absolutely beautiful! The added a built in tuner is super amazing and easy to use! You have options to change the tuning you want which is also amazing! I do wish Amazon sold the lava base charger but I’ll probably end up getting it off their website. My only con is that I wish I could order the base charger on here.

Gimmick
Arrived a day late (not lavas issue ) Speaker would only work if you held the wire a certain way , before it wouldn’t work at all It is absolutely MUCH MUCH MUCH too quiet , I can’t say it enough . The speakers are so quiet not worth the money at all . I’d be pissed if I spent $200 on this With that being said the guitar alone is nice if you’re buying it as a guitar without speakers and a screen . The operation systems is an IOS clone which make the entire thing feel cheap and icky If I had to suggest anything to lava it would be either A- fix the sound volume to where you can hear it over the guitar OR B - make a normal guitar

Good guitar, the effects leave a little to be desired.
This guitar is great! First of all, the actual acoustic sound on the 41-inch spruce model is fantastic even if you completely ignore the smart features. It looks beautiful and just sounds amazing right out of the box. The smart features are definitely cool too, and I really love being able to mess around with different effects without having to plug into my amp. My only real complaint is that the volume on the effects isn't always adequate. Sometimes if you are actually strumming, the natural acoustic sound completely drowns out the effects. But other than that, it plays perfectly and is a lot of fun. I'd definitely recommend it!

Fantastic guitar!
It sounds better than my Martin DM!! Love this guitar. Shaved a bit of the bridge and it solved the height issue everyone complains about, a 10 minute fix! It sounds so good I rarely use the effects!

Effects are just too quiet
Great concept! It would be perfect if the effects were loud enough. But they are very quiet, even with the volume turned up to the max level. Maybe they had issues with feedback and cohldnt figure it out? If you want a guitar that has live effects, I have tried a lot of different options and add one, the best one is the Yamaha transacoustic model. The are the only ones who nailed it. Loud, sounds great, and good price for what you get. I whish this Lava guitar covered all those needs but it falls short, unfortunately.

Has a Heavy body weight and high string action. Many features Good sound.
This guitar came to me with very high action of about 3mm at the 12th fret on string height from the finger board frets. Also the 41" model was very heavy in body weight. I found myself wrestling with the guitar body due to the weight. The native sound volume was very good with resonance and sustain. Just did not like the body weight and playability due to the high action. There are so many features that it was hard to understand how they all function and there are no instructions so you have to try things trial and error. The gig bag was very nice with an added pouch for sheet music and is well protected for the guitar. Tuning is very stable. The frets are jumbo .040-.042 heigh. The neck had 0 relief and was completely straight. I returned the guitar mostly because it weighed too much and was hard to play. Would have had to send the guitar to a luther to get the nut and saddle cut down in height so that the string action could be lowered but there is no one to go to where I live so it has to be shipped out. Too much trouble.

Cracking noise
I Love the looks, features, and sound, but I've tried two different guitars and both had the same problem: a lot of cracking noise through the pickup connection.

Amazing!
I got this as a gift for my husband, and he absolutely adores it. The guitar itself is simply wow. The light gray case it comes in is so elegant. He cannot put down the guitar. It is a great investment.

Not worth it
First of all, the sound quality isn't as good as advertised. Second, there is a very noticeable pickup feedback loop. It's so bad that I have to mute some strings as I'm playing. Third, the main reason I bought it is because you can record layers (loops) and playback as you improvise. The sound quality of the playback reminds me of the old Nokia phones ringtones 🤣

Get ready for a rollercoaster
I was looking for a new guitar, wanted something with a solid wood top and then LAVA just happened to make this thing in full size 41” which is the only reason I’ve never used their smaller ones in the past. I was on the fence about an acoustic being an acoustic only, like the playability on its own. And I gotta say this is one of the best sounding acoustics I’ve ever played, a few friends have checked it out and they figured it was in the $3000+ range when it came to sound quality. And then you turn it on and it’s even better. The app and software is constantly being updated with new effects and after only playing it for about a month it got stolen. Because the built in screen runs Android, I reached out to LAVA to ask if there was any tracking like an Android phone or tablet, which they said no but they’re going to look into this as a hardware update for future models so I’m 100% buying a new one whenever they launch that. But the crazy part is that I made a post on Reddit about the stolen guitar in a local subreddit and someone saw it and turned it into the police. Apparently the person who stole it gave it to this guy as rent money so the police contacted me to get the guitar back. Unfortunately the guitar was damaged so I reached out to LAVA again to see if they had a repair program or something because this is a weird guitar that most luthiers won’t know how to fix, and without hesitation they just straight up sent me build schematics on the guitar and tool sizes needed to fix the bridge. Got the thing fixed and it’s playing as good as it was brand new. The TL;DR here is that as a purely acoustic guitar, as an electric acoustic, as a guitar with a built in amplifier, as a company.. beyond every possible expectation I could have ever had. LAVA is not only building what I would call the only guitar you need, but the company itself didn’t even hesitate to give me all of the info needed for free to get it fixed and even took my feedback as suggestions for future models to include theft protection.
