Julian Bowen Shaker Bed, Wood, Oak/Ivory, Double

Exceeded my expectations. Particularly wanted an ivory bedstead to match my M&S ivory wardrobe. Their bed was too expensive so looked for an alternative. So this one half the price and took the chance. The colour matched perfectly it looks great. Easy to assemble. Great quality and looks every much as good as the M&S bed.

The bed looks great and component parts of good quality. However when put together none of the joints fitted together well with mm gaps, which left the bed very unstable and wobbly. We would have sent it back if we hadn't got rid of all the packaging and are in lock down. In the end we've realigned all the brackets, replaced screws with bigger ones and added more brackets. The bed now doesn't wobble and creek but not sure it's got a long life!

Lovely product, only thing I would mention for potential buyers is the frame at the end of the bed sticks out just a few mm's and is easy to hit yourself against.Which I'm still doing 12 months later.A design flaw I think not the sellers fault.I think the bed would be fine in a large bedroom.

Literally fell apart after 6 months, avoid. Looks great but so flimsy, frame moved with every toss or turn at night (I am 60kg)...

Item looks and feels cheap and flimsy. Came with damaged and split slat to headboard. Amazon would not arrange collection so had to pay a fortune and took ages to find a courier to take it back to Amazon due to it being over 2 metres long. Avoid

Lovely bed although it does smell of "glue" for the first 3 days so I would advise to keep your windows open...

Very good beds and look great. Fair prices. easy to assemble. I recommend a thick matress as the slatted base could be of better quality. Some of the slates are thin.

Bed was easy to assemble and looks very good .But the bar at the top of the bed end sticks out to far and is very sharp caught my leg on it and cut it .
