Light compression, can be adjusted. Perfect.
Mediocre athlete, had a Kona, Mark Allen and Dave Schott poster 40 years ago. Did my SBR Dutch national circuit Olympic distances as a teenager before it was called that.l understand the basics of fysiology. Problem for me is overpressure of main artery, this is perfect.Excellent low pressure sleeves, not used for recovery but during sports.i start with these at ankle height, and roll them over my calves when warm. Then when cooling down roll down again. Recovery without.

Fit Well and Controlled Pain Well
Just bought these recently and was a bit skeptical that they would actually help relieve my shin splints, but boy was I wrong. After using the sizing guide on 2XU.com I settled on the large sleeves. I actually was 1/2" over the recommended size but still went for it. They fit nice and snug and do not have any seams to cause discomfort. After about 30 minutes of wearing them I could actually feel an improvement in my shins. After a couple of hours the pain was almost completely gone.I haven't tried wearing them while running so I can't comment there, but they're great to wear throughout the day without discomfort. Definitely recommend.

Working well
I use to run around 40 miles a week. that was 6 years ago. Marriage, kids, work took the place of my morning runs. I also added 30lbs to my body. I have been running again for two months and my shins have been the biggest pain. Ice didnt help, rollers either. I have had these for a few weeks now and can say that they are pure magic. I wear them when I run or for recovery. These are a perfect tool for my legs to get used to running again. thanks! 20 miler/wk runner

Shin splints be gone!
Got back into running after stopping from persistent shin splints. Wearing these, I recovery very quickly and can run multiple days a week. The red band is coming off one after a about 3 weeks, but I didn't buy it for the logos. Good compression and fit. Holds up over many uses (so far).

good compression
Had water buildup in calf and this item works as good as ted socks but easier to put on. Sizing was a problem finding chart.

Promotes Circulation for Me and Then Some...
Measure your calf (largest part) and ensure you do not tighten up that tape measure and compare it against the 2XU sizing chart. If there is no 2XU sizing chart, go directly to the 2XU.com site. I was on the border brown sizes and the 2XU rep e-mailed a response to stay with the smaller size. However, I recommend you try it out and determine this yourself. I abided by the rep's recommendation and I am pleased. Some of you may say it is too restrictive so all I can suggest is go what you know.I use these for recovery and when I am lounging around. I use the 2XU Calf Guards for active sports; i.e. running, walking, other sports. I would think both would work but the rep suggested the sleeves for recovery and the guards for activities.Bottom line, I enjoy them. :-)
