Perfect for the beginner cake decorater/baker
So easy to use and clean! I've never made a layered cake before so I was anxious with my ability to cut a cake straight/even. This tool is so easy to use, I love that you can adjust where the wire sits so you can get the perfect slice to either trim the top or split in two even pieces. Didn't need much cleaning, a crumb here or there came right off with a quick once-over with a soapy sponge, I wouldn't attempt to clean it in the dishwasher though, I can imagine the wire getting warped from the heat. It's a great quality considering it's plastic and less than $10.

Works great
I was actually shocked at how well this worked considering how cheap it was. I wanted one big enough to cut a 10" cake and this one does. Most of them will only cut up to an 8" cake. The cutter feels really sturdy and I'm looking forward to many more uses out of it.

Cake layer leveling
This is a great item for leveling your cake layers. It was very easy to use and I like that it had several height adjusments. I only gave it 4 stars because it should of had a "foot" on both sides and my only came with one. So I had to take it off and throw it away to keep it level.

What a great product. It works even better than I expected. I am no expert and this took zero skill. You cannot mess it up.

Easy to use!
I use this cutter for makes soap loaves cut on the diagonal. I highly recommend it for this type of project as well as for cutting cakes. It's very durable and cuts into my soap like butter. There are many sizes out there but this one is just perfect for smaller projects.

Didn't work that well
Not sure if it was the item or if my cake was too moist, but this did not really work to shave down the top of my cake layers to make them flat so they could be even heights in a layer cake. I ended up just using a serrated knife and not this item. I kept it anyway and will try it again another time.
