I was delighted when my box from Sow Lush arrived containing everything needed to grow my herbs.I followed the precise instructions and was rewarded on day 9 with the first sign of green from the thyme pots. The basil popped up on day 10 and others in these pots have also appeared.The only thing I would recommend is to water the compost to achieve a good base before adding the seeds and cover only with a tiny bit of soil before watering very lightly afterwards and continue with regular watering as the pots dry out very quickly especially in hot weather.My daughter bought the same product and had even more success by germinating the seeds indoors. (See second photograph). Her seeds all began to sprout in 7 days.

So, i alike a lot of people on here seem to have suffered the same fate. I used containers provided, soil given and decided to plant them in my shed, behind a window so they're fully incubated, lots of heat, lots of water. It's been roughly 6 weeks and in that time I've had 3 basil seeds sprout, out of the 6 herbs provided and the many seeds given.As there were an abundance of seeds, i decided I'd do a second test and use some of my own compost along with the one provided and again the results have spoken for themselves, absolutely nothing. I big fat waste of money unfortunately.I would also like to add, the paper tags they provide to label the pots are terrible, as soon as you water them they just become useless because they soak up the water.The whole thing is an absolute dud, start to finish, this product is being sold at a high cost, made to look good but it's effectively useless. Don't waste your time.On their website they offer a money back guarantee, i'd suggest people contact them.

whilst nothing sprouted and was a bit of a waste of time I did complain and got a full refund as the seeds are guaranteed to grow so the service has been great.

I got this kit several days ago and have been dying to try it out but have had to wait for the snow to disappear and the warmth to arrive :)This is a great little starter kit including everything you need to start your own little garden herb patch. Getting the kids involved in planting the seeds into the pots was a great way to try to encourage green fingers from a young age.So far we have sowed the basil, sage, thyme and chives and I'm sure they will sow the parsley and mint over the next few days.The kit is well thought out and contains everything you need from the seeds to the compost and the pots (which are biodegradable which is nice).All in all, a fantastic way to introduce children, or adults, to the joys of growing your own herbs and would definitely recommend to anyone interested in growing their own.

I already do sprouting and fermenting, so I found this starter kit to be a useful addition to my agricultural endeavours.It is a great way to grow a nice variety of herbs, especially a few weeks before spring weather permits planting outside.First off, the instruction manual was written by a master of the English language, who enjoyed planting puns here and there when you least expect it.Second, the manual is a pleasant blend of practical instructions on how to germinate the seeds and useful background information about the herbs. It is a good read.The peat pots, soil and sticks make it easy to set up quickly with minimal mess. The herb selection provides a great addition to home cooking.All in all, the package is fun, educational and tasty, and over time, your appreciation of this will certainly grow.

With lockdown keeping us all indoors way more than we'd like. I decided to buy herb gardens for a few relatives.Was well received especially by the cooking enthusiasts.
