Works very well, good quality
Works well with my Macbook Pro M2 Pro. No extra installation required, macOS recognises it automatically. With this I can use the full speed of my 1GB Virgin Media internet connection via the 2.5Gbps port of the VM router and this adapter. Has sleek design, feels quality.

Perfect
Really nice build quality, and the speed meets it's rated 2.5Gbps, works great on my MacBook Pro

Works at 2.5GB
I initially got this for a laptop and it worked fine at 2.5GB. Ended up using it on my NAS for a bit and it worked great. Seesm to work cool and had no issues with connectivity. Good value and super easy as a way to get 2.5GB on a usb device.

good performance
nice 2.5G network card. to note though is using from a dock the output will never be 2.5Gbps as the dock will be using some bandwidth for other devices. best performance can approach 2.5G is directly connected to a USB3.2 port not via a dock

RTL8156 based 2.5Gbps ethernet adapter
I was looking for a 2.5Gbps ethernet adapter. My thinking is that even though right now, this is the only greater-than-1Gbps device I have, it is still a start. I hope to eventually buy a new router with 2.5G ports, and probably another one of these for my NAS. So that I'll actually be able to utilise the speed of the hard drives in the NAS when photo editing.I found some information that some of these adapters can have issues, but the ones that are based on the Realtek RTL8156 do not. This is based on that chip, and it was on offer, so it was an easy sell.I have it plugged in to the back of my monitor via a USB-A to USB-C converter. Basically my monitor contains a USB hub, and it in turn connects to my laptop via Thunderbolt 3.I use both an Apple MacBook and a Windows laptop. On the MacBook, it was installed automatically and worked like a charm. On Windows, it did not automatically install. Rather, it presented itself as an optical drive to the operating system. That seems to be deliberate, as there are driver installation files on that optical drive. However what I ended up doing was - as the manual suggested - download the drivers from the UGreen website. They work fine. Now a word of warning: the speed I got on both Windows and Mac OS was 100mbps (100baseTX). At first I thought maybe the USB port was working in USB 2 mode, or the adapter wasn't supplied with enough current. However it turns out to be far more basic: the cable I used was damaged, and so the auto-negotiation settled on a slower speed. When I tried it with another cable, I got gigabit speeds (1000baseT).It gets a bit warm, but it's nothing to be worried about. Mac OS reports the current draw as 256mA, which is well within the limits of what the USB 3.0 port on my monitor can provide (900mA).

Macbook Pro Works Instantly through Thunderbolt Port
I have just connected to a 2.3Gbps /1Gbps service through Yayzi, and despite having a pretty clear wifi signal on wifi 6, I could only get a maximum of 840/760 through my 2021 Macbook Pro 16 inch. Bought some new cables and realised that my old ethernet cable from Dell was only capable of 1Gbps.I compared this to a number of competitors, and noticed that this was about 40% cheaper than the top-selling ethernet cable. I was a little concerned that there were going to be some connection issues, because it doesn't say anything on the ad about being suitable for thunderbolt 4. Thunderbolt 4 has a throughput of 40Gbps.Connected a new ethernet cat 8 cable and a popup appeared to "allow connection to 10/100/2.5Gbps connector". Clicked yes, within 10 seconds it had automatically configured the setup for the connection. Turned off wifi, speed tested.2048 Mbps Down / 940-975 Mbps Up. Awesome. This connection is supposed to be switching very soon to X-Pon, which should increase this to be a 2.6/2.6, ....and if YouFibre evers comes they are offering an 8Gbps Symmetrical....which means hopefully my provider will. Strongly recommend Yayzi and this cable to give you currently the fastest available in Glasgow, and this cable will do it all.To say that I am exceptionally happy with this cable for a discounted price is an understatement!!!! Don;t mess around if you have a MacBook. It works awesomely.

Plug and play and efficient
Bought this for my Mac that I wanted Ethernet connectivity for. Plug and play from the start with advertised speeds achieved. Feels sturdy and quality.

Adds a port that's not included on laptops, not that I need it often.
It's a 2.5Gb ethernet adapter. Works great for my needs
