Tie Down Engineering 86279 5"" Keel Roller with Panel Bracket Assembly, Silver, Standard

There was a bug (insect) molded into the keel roller. I didn’t purchase the clear roller to see bugs, Ugh. The quality of the bracket is rough with metal shavings still hanging. Seller charges return shipping. Not pleased.

Fits great, galvanizing is well done, and it rolls freely. I had to lift the bow of my jet ski by hand when loading and the gelcoat had a small divot from contacting the trailer frame. This roller made loading and unloading our jet ski a breeze and also prevented damage to the expensive gelcoat. If you buy this to add to your trailer, plan on a trip to the hardware store for 1/2" stainless steel bolts, nuts and washers. This one worked so well that I am buying another to put on the rear of the trailer.

I do not like to submerge my boat trailer wheels in water so I added this roller between the carpeted rear slides to help lift my small jon boat out of the water. This roller worked great to get the process started, but now I need to design some sort of a waist high (removable) roller placed about half way up the trailer to keep the front of the boat headed up until the weight balances. I will most likely purchase another roller to fasten onto a 2x6 about 3-4 feet tall which can be removed once the boat gets to the right point. Mounted it on the edge of the Dock to aid in pulling up Kayak (70#) out of the water. Nice roller and shaped to allow the Kayak to ride on its keel.

Mounted mine on a floating picnic table I built for the lake. I put them on the bottom so I could roll the table back up onto a trailer when we needed it out of the lake. They are working like they are supposed to. I used two of them but you just need to make sure that they are even and straight when you put them on something so it will roll evenly.Quality is top notch and seem as though they should last forever.

Often times with galvanized parts you get a feel for the quality with how well they applied the galvanization. With this part it was clearly done right. I'm rebuilding a 1970's boat trailer and it's tough finding parts that are built today with the same quality as 40 years ago. This roller meets my quality requirement, I would buy from this manufacture again.

The product had a nice delivery time, and worked fine. Looks like it is to be well made and seems to hold up. Im going to order another one. And give some away for Christmas presents to family.

Great product, fair price.I don't think it's necessary to have the grooves for the hardware. They give room for play & sliding. Four wholes would be better, or 6 or to give options.
