Autoswitches!
The media could not be loaded. My previous splitter was a hassle to use. Manual, 4k60hz, and would cause frame drops and screen blackouts with my PS5 and weird frame color corruption issues with my PS3. Alongside upgrading all my cables to HDMI 2.1, I also invested in this splitter. There's a couple of things about this particular splitter I quite like.First, it requires power. For some this may be a downside, but this enables other handy features this device can do, and ensures the transferring of video data is more or less seamless. My only complaint here is that the provided USB C cable is far too short, and no charger block is included. Luckily I have tons of cables to spare, as well as a power strip with USB ports, but this may be something to consider.Second, this thing is compact and sleek! I like that all of the ports are in the back of the device. Being a fan of cable management, it's nice to make things as tidy as possible.Third, IT AUTO SWITCHES! You can use the remote if it doesn't cooperate (which includes shutting the splitter on and off), but as seen in the video, it detects when a new device is powered on and automatically switches to it. This is particularly fantastic for consoles. I have my Switch, PS3, and PS5 connected to this splitter, and it is able to detect and seamlessly switch to each device. It operates on recency, so whatever device was powered on most recently will be the input it switches to. Luckily, though, the device comes with a remote so you can switch the splitter on, and to whatever HDMI you want, without getting up. You do have to toggle on the remote (there's a button for this, don't forget to do this), but once it's done it is responsive and works well.Overall, I am happy with this product. Time will tell if I experience the issues I was having previously with my devices, but I feel confident that this in combination with the most modern HDMI cables should let me get back to gaming without issue!

Great product
Great for having multiple hdmi plug into one. My only con is that you have to power it on/off. I wish that part was automatic when other devices are on/off.

Bad HDMI Switch overall, Do Not Buy.....
When playing any game in 120hz using this 5-Port 8K HDMI switch the screen flickers until I have to go into the Game menu, Device/Electronic/Tech settings or 4K UHDTV settings to set it back to 60hz to prevent that from happening. No matter which of the 5 HDMI ports I use the random frequent disconnects showing the "No Signal" message still happens when using this 5-Port HDMI 8K Switch, Yes all the HDMI cords are plugged into the ports in full & Connected correctly. The auto-switch function doesn't work properly when I turn off one of the devices/electronics/tech etc. I'm using it doesn't instantly switch over to the next HDMI port that's in use where I have to use the Remote or Get up to move towards this 5-Port HDMI 8K Switch to press the Select button to set it on one the HDMI ports that's active. The one I already have for 6+ years that's up to HDMI 2.0 standards does the auto-switch function flawlessly with no problems.Yes the USB power brick / wall charger I used has the proper voltage to power on this device is not the problem. (Fosmon decided not to include a USB power brick / wall charger where we have to use any we have at home or We have to buy another one, Bad decision on this company for thinking that's a good idea not to include one with this HDMI Switch, IMO.)It's not my 2024 4k QD-Mini LED etc. TV, Not my HDMI cables, Not my devices/electronics/techs & Overall this Fosmon HDMI 8K Switch that is the problem as I never had these problems/issues(that I've mentioned/said in this review) from my current HDMI 2.0 switch(at the time I've posted a review on 6+ years ago when the item was available on amazon.com) I have for 6+ years.I feel that this item/product was rushed into the market without any QA/R&D being done to detect these problems before having this available to be on sale for anyone to buy.

Works, mostly
I bought this to have my XBox Series X and Playstation 5 on one HDMI. My TV has 2 HDMI that support 120 hz 4K and HDR but one is the ARC HDMI I need for my surround sound system. This mostly works, but with some caveats. If the PS5 is in slot 1 and the XBox in slot 2 then neither will not wake up my TV but the TV will wake up the PS5. If the XBox is in slot 1 and the PS5 in slot 2 then XBox will wake and shut down the TV properly, but the PS5 will not and only serves to swap the active port without waking the TV. I can live with this, it just means I have to have two remotes when I am wanting to play PS5. I have had no issues with 4K 120hx HDR on either which was my primary concern so I am willing to live with this until I change my surround sound to one that can do what this does.

Good switch for portable 16 inch monitors
I recently bought two different 16 inch portable monitors from Amazon. I discovered they were BOTH very picky about the quality of the input HDMI signal. Some cables gave me trouble. I wanted to drive these monitors via an HDMI switch as I have several computers. Several years ago, back in the 1080 days, I got a Kinivo switch, and it was just fine,. So for these 4K 16 inch monitors, I tried the KinIvo switch. The monitors had fits. So, I thought I would try this switch. Granted this switch has just 3 inputs and the Kinivo switch had 5, I decided to give it a try. The 4K mode on this switch worked great on the portable 16 inch 4K monitor. If you only need to switch 3 inputs, I would suggest this switch. It worked fine. It is quite small. Granted, it needs external power, but I can understand the need for active electronics to switch inputs. I am very happy with this purchase. I have also learned that the 4K 16 inch monitors pretty much want their inputs pretty close to perfect. Also, this switch was much less expensive then the other switch. Save some money, this one works!
