A first class look at Texas history
Young or old anyone who loves Texas history will enjoy this book. It covers the stories we Texans have heard many times over but is done with the first hand accounts of people who lived through them. There is Dilue Harris telling of her experiences during the Runaway Scrape, Davy Crockett's last letter home telling his children of the wonders of Texas and his plans for the future, Barefoot Wallace's account of the Black Bean Incident, and Francis Black's story of, as a small black child, being stolen from her parents at the age of 5 and sold never to see her family again. Even being the Texas history buff I am, there are details within the first hand accounts that I had not heard before. There are many more stories, all worth the time you will spend refreshing your memory of our history. I highly recommend this book.

blah blah
blah blah blah; thank you for the book shipment; I do not however buy things off Amazon so I can spend my time filling out stupid reviews. I will refuse to do so from this point forward until Amazon comes up with something that is "one click", simple and fast.
