These come up quite small. I ordered a 4 and 5 (I'm usually a 3.5 or 4) - but the 4 was too small and the 5 too big. Having had the Janessa ballet flats several years ago I know they stretch when you break them in. The only place they remained tight was around my toes however. I sorted this to my satisfaction by spraying some leather stretcher on the inside toe section and then putting them on with a pair of socks and going for a walk. Problem solved - they are fully broken in now and fit great. And they are soooo comfy - I'm so glad I persevered and kept them, there is great padding in the sole and they have lovely soft supple leather uppers.

The leather is buttery soft making these extremely comfortable. However they have a proper sole meaning they can be worn daily without wearing out, they are very good quality

The product description states the shoes I ordered were UK size 7, european size 41. I think that the UK size is correct, however the european size is incorrect. I usually wear shoe sizes 6, 6.5 or 7. In the european sizes I wear 39 or 40. I have never worn 41 and I was concerned that these shoes might be too big. When I first put them on they felt very comfortable and even a bit loose. I decided to keep them and wore them around town for a day and they absolutely tore into the back of my ankle! I think it might be the shape of the shoe around the top edge and I believe they will soften, but it will take a few more days of pain. My toes were comfortable all the while, but they are not a size 41... especially when it's 30 degrees outside and your feet are swelling up! They seem to be well made and the soles are pretty!

The style, look and feel are great, this shows the quality but I was really disappointed with the sizing of the shoes. I'm normally a size 4 but ordered the next size up after reading previous reviews, heel to toe fit perfect but the width was so wide that they slipped up and down when tried on and there were big gaps either side of my feet in the shoes when stood still.I checked the sizing on the box which was 5E, then checked the sizing on the Hush Puppies website, this is their "widest width offering" no wonder they were so big. I re-checked the description on Amazon to see if I had missed this but there is no mention of the width size, I presumed they were regular / standard fit. Lovely shoes but sadly returned to Amazon.

This is my third pair of Janessa hush puppies. Having always found them to be extremely comfortable I was very disappointed with the quality of this pair. The button detail on the heel was so poorly made, the staple went into my heel. The fit is also much smaller than in my previous pairs that it caused pain across my foot where the stitching is. They are so different from my other pairs which is such a shame as I used to wear them all the time. It has made me sceptical of the authenticity of them being real hush puppies.

I have a had a similar pair in the past, but couldn’t remember the size. 4 was too small and 5 was too big!Disappointed they didn’t fit as they were very comfortable underfoot. Will keep an eye out for a 4.5

Ordered these shoes as they were fantastic value. I had previously seen them in person in Schuh, so already had an idea of how light and squishy the soles are. Leather is of good quality and thick but I think will soften with wear, to make them the most comfortable shoes ever. I like the style of them and they are very wearable, they look great with Jeans, chinos or a skirt.I am a 5.5 on one foot and a 5 on the other but I went for a 6 in these as I tried a 5 and they do seem to come up small.I have worn them nearly everyday since they arrived and no breaking in has been necessary. I love them and will be ordering some more for work.

I used to love Hush Puppies shoes as they were always good quality, comfortable to wear and would last for years. I have not had any for a while, but needed to get a pair of flats so was delighted to find these on Amazon at a better price than they were in the shops. Whilst they are still not super cheap, I felt that as I was paying for good quality, it was not so bad.The shoes arrived quickly and were neatly boxed. Whilst they looked nice, unfortunately I was very disappointed. They were not true to size and were definitely smaller than you would expect. Also the leather was so hard and with no give in it. I didn’t bother to get a larger size as I knew that, even then they would be uncomfortable because of the lack of give. They also didn’t appear as well-made as I remember them so all in all I was disappointed and it would put me off trying them again.
