As like one of the other reviewers i bought it a the beginning of the year and didnt open it till november when my new laptop arrived, set everything up plugged in the new hard dive whizz of the fan and flashing light then nothing and not recognised by my laptop either not impressed

At this price for a device marketed to professionals it's disappointing that it failed in less than a week. Based on led behaviour it tries to rebuild RAID 1 without luck, doesn't seem like drives are dead, so it must be the controller issue.

Ho acquistato questo prodotto dopo essermi documentato per poter eseguire backup raid del mio mac e di un ssd esterno in contemporanea, il prodotto si presenta solido e completo per ogni possibile utilizzo, può fungere da alimentatore per un Mac tramite la porta Thunderbolt o essere collegato direttamente a uno schermo Apple display e lavorare solo in trasferimento dati. Ottima la possibilità di espansione tramite ssd proprietari sandisk. La velocità di trasferimento elevata il rumore dopo l’avvio appena udibile nonostante i dischi a 10000rpm, lo tengo sotto la scrivania dello studio (una stanza molto silenziosa) e ogni vibrazione o rumore eccessivo sarebbe sicuramente udibile. In questo caso invece risulta tutto nella norma. Attualmente. Sono pienamente soddisfatto dell’acquisto e dell’affidabilità del prodotto

Photographe et vidéaste professionnel, j’avais besoin d’une solution de stockage performante, silencieuse et surtout fiable. Ce G-RAID de chez SanDisk coche toutes les cases : deux disques internes configurables en RAID 1 pour la sécurité ou RAID 0 pour la vitesse, boîtier robuste en métal, double connectique USB-C et Thunderbolt, compatibilité parfaite avec macOS (même APFS). Je l’utilise en RAID 1 pour sécuriser mes archives clients : les données sont automatiquement dupliquées sur les deux disques, donc zéro stress en cas de panne. La configuration est simple avec l’outil SanDisk, et une fois monté, je peux même créer un lien symbolique pour y accéder directement depuis mon bureau (gain de temps énorme). Silencieux, ultra rapide, et très bien ventilé même en usage intensif — c’est clairement du matériel pro. Je recommande à tous les créateurs, vidéastes, monteurs ou photographes exigeants. Ce n’est pas un simple disque dur, c’est un investissement dans la tranquillité.

Brand new out of the box and defective. Box was very dusty upon arrival. I wiped the box clean then open it. Thankfully things appeared clean from the inside. I set it up on the table and plugging in power. The device blinks fast for a few seconds with white lights from the front along with fan noise. Then powers off. Power button does nothing even when holding power button. Confirmed no USB detection by any system. I used only included cables. I looked it up the fast blinking lights means critical failure. And slow means normal or working. I got fast blinking lights. I tired unplugging and plugging it back with the same result as the first time.
