Used these pads to keep critters from getting into our house through the end caps. Squirrels got into our attic, called a wildlife expert to remove them and release them at a local wildlife refuge. He had a plastic device he put on the end caps, but as time passed, they fell out. These pads are just as effective.

Here we are with another GOOD, BAD & the UGLY review. This time for steel wool. Usually this is used for cleaning but this was used to keep mice out of an apartment. It will greatly reduce any pest/rodent problem you have when stuff in unwanted holes. If the product is sold at your local discount store, I recommend you get it there rather than Amazon as chances are, it will be cheaper. I haven't and will not use this for cleaning, but I can recommend this as a tool in your kit to reduce home pests. :D

We heard that steel wool was great to keep mice away. So we bought this package which is pretty good sized with 16 pads in it. My mom lives in the country and was having a little trouble with a mouse. So we stuffed a few of these steel wool pads in a few holes and no more mice problems.

Product is as advertised!

Needed something to remove old rust on some knives and this was recommended on several videos.Package comes with 16 pads, I’ve used one so far and was able to remove a lot of the rust. I also used on my electrical stove to remove grease and works awesome.The only negative point is that it kinda falls apart, kinda like small hairs all over the place. They are tricky to pick up but overall works fine.

I used this to plug holes in my apartment that the vermin were coming through, Problem solved minus one... I didn't realize that one was already inside... I call him Bob! I also used it to clean up my stainless steel pots; worked wonders.

These work well, but fall apart when scrubbing a surface. These are coarse steel wool pads, so it may be the norm for this product, but the errant strands can also poke and pierce your skin.Still, this is a good value for the number of pads you get. I was able to scrub all of my pots clean with two pads.

These Steel Wool pads are great for what I wanted them for. I first needed them to clean (weathered) aluminum diamond plate on my cargo trailer. They held up great using WD40 and I only needed three pads to do all the plating on the trailer. My lawn tractor needed a muffler so after removing it from the exhaust system (using a screw driver), I stuffed 7 pads into the steel muffler casing. It's truly amazing how much it quiet the 26 HP running engine. In time it will again burn off the steel wool so I'll keep extra on hand for a quick and in-expensive muffler fix.

Strong sharp material. Great to stuff in holes vs mice. Bit messy to get shards cleaned up
