Very good book
Very good book, part 1 breaks down the process of driving, turning left, right, clutch control, other drivers etc. Good illustrations. I personally find it helpful to read a process on top of doing it just to embed the info and make sure I've understood why I'm doing it. Rather than doing something on autopilot because my instructor said so it means I make the decision and understand why I did it that way. Q&A section at the end of each part is useful too. PArt 2 is Theory questions, as I have already done that I can't really comment except to say I preferred using a DVD to a book for practicing questions. Part 3 is the highway code. I'm giving it 5 stars for an excellent part 1, and all round usefulness. However they made the theory test a lot harder and a DVD will provide better Hazard learning support with video's etc and also they mirror how the test will work at the centre so I would say a DVD for theory is essential. I also think part 1 of this is essential. I bought the AA book which claimed to cover the Driving but it didn't, this does and does it well, you'd think there would be loads of books covering part 1 but there isn't, and there's even fewer doing it well.

Missinf relevan very important information
You're missing out very important information that cold be mentioned to help first time drivers. No mention of spiral roundabouts which need extra study and additional explanation; of the "service roads" at the roundabouts, turning right from a oneway road, secondary lights that confuse loads of drivers, etc. This are things that are more difficult and could fail your test.

Five Stars
Excellent book but the print quality is shoddy compared to the DVSA Guides.
