Used For Custom Clamp Connector
Here's my story-I love my Micro-Start XP-1. I've used it to jump-start one of my bikes with a completely dead battery, and it worked great. I also like that I can charge my phone or use it to power my laptop. What I don't like are the original alligator clamps. They are too bulky for carrying, and the size of the tips of the clamps make it difficult to attach them to my battery terminals. But I like using clamps, so I wanted to get, or make, a new connector for my XP-1 with smaller clamps. But I couldn't find any, so I had to make them. I found this ring terminal connector (MSA-10TP), and I thought it might be perfect for making a custom set of clamps, so I ordered a pair (never hurts to have a spare).I received my ring terminal connectors, bought a set of mini alligator clamps from a big name department store (name starts with a W), they cost me $4 (found in the automotive/battery accessory cabinet), and I got to work.I cut off the ring terminals of the MSA-10TP connector, crimped the new mini clamps onto the insulated portion of the wires, soldered the ends of the wires to the clamps, done. I tested my new set of clamps by disconnecting one of my bikes batteries, connecting the clamps to the battery cables, plugged the connector into my XP-1, and started the bike. My new mini clamps worked great. I performed this test 5 times in all just to be sure, and everything worked great each time.Anti-Gravity might not approve of my custom modification of their product, but I'm very happy with the results. I didn't want to attach these ring terminal connectors to my batteries, I very rarely need to do a jump-start, and I don't like having unnecessary stuff attached to my batteries.Naturally my new clamps don't have the safety features of the original clamps, but neither does the ring terminal connector. Fortunately for me I know how to attach a battery jumper to a battery, so I don't need the safety features.Pictures show the difference in size and bulk. The new connector/clamps coil up a lot smaller and are a lot easier to pack. And the new, smaller clamps fit easily onto my battery terminals.I'm giving the MSA-10TP ring terminal connector 5 stars because it provided me with exactly what I needed to get the mini clamp connectors I wanted, and needed.A few additional pieces of info-If you're planning on doing this modification you will need to solder the wires to the clamps, and that will require a good quality soldering iron (I have a Weller iron, 140 watts). You might wonder about the quality of the mini clamps I bought, but they are virtually identical to the clamps that came with my Battery Tender brand trickle charger/tender. And like I said, they work great. This ring terminal connector (MSA-10TP) is for the newer version of the XP-1, the way to tell if you have the newer version is to look at the bottom jumper cable connector in the jumper (where the cable plugs in), if you see a little pin sticking out over the bottom connector, you have the newer XP-1.The proper ring terminal for the newer XP-1 has the red wire on top when the connector is plugged into the jumper. If the the red wire isn't on top when you plug the connector into the jumper, you either received the wrong connector, or you got a defective one, so don't use it.

This is so much easier than taking my motorcycle apart to get to the battery post
So convenient! Quick access to the jumpstart plug for my antigravity XP-3 when needed. Huge time saver compared to removing my motorcycle seat, then the battery cover. And hoping not to lose the screws while on the trail. Worth every penny spent on this product.

This is 'Too Cool' for words.
This is 'too cool'. I had been using a COBRA starter (it worked just fine). I kept thinking - why don't they have cables that are attached to the batter so you don't have to fumble around with the clamps. I was going to invent my own - when I found these. I've used it once and it was very nice to open the hood - plug it in. The second it was plugged in you could hear the power turn on - press the starter and it is instant. Instead of several minutes trying to get the clamps connected (the don't put the battery in my car in the best place) - dirty hands, etc. it was a breeze.NOW - someone needs to take it one stop further (so I don't have to invent it). make a cable that will go from the battery to inside the car - keep the jump start plugged in - the car battery keeps it charged (then shuts down) so it doesn't get over-charged. Flip a switch when you need it - and it's 'easy-peasey'. In fact that should be a 'new car option'. It's a million dollar seller. If you invent it - before I do - be sure and send me my royalties. I'll have to post a picture later. I have a cover over my engine and this sticks through the cover - so you don't even see anything but the tip.

Convenient and Time Saving
Anyone who has had the pleasure of trying to jump a Softail knows the joy of taking the seat off and struggling with clamps to jump the bike and then reinstalling the seat with the bike running. This little item, coupled with the Anti-Gravity XP-1 micro start battery eliminates that problem. If you know how to jump your bike then the installation of this item is a no brainer. Red to red, black to black, tighten down the screw and route the wire. When you need a jump, you just plug the XP-1 battery in, turn it on, and start the bike. As a 365 rider, I have used this several times coming out to the parking lot after a 9.5 hour day with my bike sitting in below freezing temps for that long. It makes the chore extremely easy. The reason for the 4 star instead of 5 is that I wish it was about 2" longer and that there was a protective cap for the plug end. The cap is a big deal since the plug is exposed to the element.

Awesome Accessory
Easy bolt-on accessory. Fits perfectly with my XP-10 jump starter. Makes it a breeze to jump the truck (6.7 Cummins). Would absolutely recommend this over the alligator clips that come with the booster

We installed this in our transit connect, because you can't access the battery terminals very easily. I don't want to wait till winter to try to jump start a possible dead battery and fool with the battery case and all. This is for the AG-XP-10 anti-gravity jump pack.
