worst
I am truly sorry i bought this, there is a guy called lee who seems to be a talented guitarist, but he has transcribed to tracks himself and shows you how to play 5 tracks from popular tracks. On of the tracks he makes a mistake and the start positions on some of the tracks are Lee's and not Hanks, all round disappointed.

Learn to Play Hank Marvin - but be careful.
These tracks are a bit of how Lee thinks they should be played. A good guitar player but not quite how Hank Marvin played them. BUT... they will get you onto the ball pitch.if you use them, . Lee will show you how to play the numbers indicated but you need to contact 'tabman' for the exact tabs to the Shadows music, if not you will end up playing Lees way which is not true Hank Marvin. A good Shadows club would very soon spot that Lee ( although he plays the numbers ) is not playing them true to form.I do like this DVD only because it is the best available as a teacher of Shads music, but do get the exact Tabs from 'Tabman' and you will along with the DVD soon see the correct notes that need to be played for a true sound. I grew up with this music so it is engrained in my ears of how it really should be played. There are two ways in my opinion of how to learn music, the first is reading the music ( tabs if you like ), play it slow and build up speed later. The next is the best, by continually hearing the music played around you ( the soak in method ) which will end up being implanted into your brain, you will know every nook and cranny of the tune. This should be the first method of learning and then follow with the tabs it will all become much easier and clearer to you. Do not try wanting to play fast to start with, a guitar player told me when I first started out to make sure that my brain was in charge of my fingers, you can not play any instrument if your brain is not in charge of the playing. Teaching somebody to play a guitar is not how much a person can teach someone in an hour, its about how much the learner can take in and practice what is being shown.Sorry for going on but follow my advice, DVD & tabs ( maybe start with 'Apache' ) and just put your time in and you will get there in the end.Hope this all helps.Harry
