Not As Described.
Well, the kit does go together nicely, as long as you take your time getting the spars and cabin interior lined up right: Use the fuselage halves to jig the interior bulkheads, and clamp the spars to the centre section until the glue's dried. The elephant in the room is that you can't build a Dan-Air airliner from the kit because it only contains paratrooper benches (open or folded) and not the airliner seating that the Dan-Air markings require.

It’s a great model.
Nothing to dislike about this. It’s everything you’d expect from Airfix.

Great kit ,we brought this for our 12 year old grandson, he has started it and is taking his time to make it up. He loves it.

Great kit
Fast shipping! The kit came securely packaged and complete. I enjoyed the detail and fit of the parts. The only flaw I found was the air scoop above both engines, and this was very easily corrected. The instructions were clear and understandable. I'll definitly give this brand of model another try.

Not Horrible, But Not The Best Either
The Douglas Dakota MK IV by Airfix is an easy model to put together. The biggest problem is that some of the pieces don't seem to fit as shown on the instruction sheet, so you better have a knife on hand. Also, the instructions are somewhat vague in its description of some of the pieces. There are also extra pieces that just don't look like they belong to this model, no matter if you are doing it as the commercial type or the military type and the decals look as if the company's printer must've been on the fritz , because some of the decals were only printed as a partial, and not the full decal. What a shame. I think I will stick with Revelle exclusively from now on.
