Brings my old Camper’s sound system up to date!
I have an ageing (1997) Japanese import Toyota Granvia Campervan. When imported it came with a Japanese double din unit that was replaced by the previous owner with an Xtrans unit for the U.K. market as the Japanese unit didn’t work in the U.K. Sadly after a few years the Xtrans unit failed but I was never very satisfied with its performance as it was based on an out of date Android system. It was very slow and it hadn’t been installed correctly so only one of the door speakers worked. I took a lot of time and research to find a replacement and settled for this Atoto A6PF system, as opposed to an U.K. unit; Pioneer, Kenwood etc. I haven’t been disappointed. I already had an ISO adapter for the previous unit which fitted the bill, but the unit came with two alternative ISO adapters as standard. I still had to re-wire the drivers door speaker into the system (not the fault of the adapter). The transformation was huge. Car Play, Android Auto, GPS for google maps, hands free telephone etc., what’s not to like. In addition it has a great amplifier that has made my speakers perform at their best, with good volume and audio adjustments included. However, unlike some other Atoto systems this unit did not come with a remote control as standard but there is a remote that fits the bill (see my other review of that unit). I now have a unit correctly installed and with a remote unit that completes the installation. I like the fact that the Atoto unit allows you to connect via Bluetooth or wired connection and that additional Apps can be added to the system. The supplied installation and user manuals are quite comprehensive and easy to follow making the upgrade relatively straightforward for a competent person. My camper is too old to make use of many of the other facilities of the unit - e.g. front & rear cameras, video input, connections to sub woofer, steering wheel controls, tyre pressure monitors etc., but that doesn’t mean the unit wasn’t worth the money I spent on it. I would consider it good value for money and it has enhanced my in car entertainment massively. Recommended.

Expected far less, so far Brilliant
Having spent weeks messing about trying to get a different headunit to work correctly, I had given up and ordered this one based on its spec and reviews. I opened the box and was amazed with the amount of cables provided to ensure the correct iso was supplied. I eventually got to the headunit and it looked like a quality unit. Once the correct iso was identified I connecte the unit to my Freelander td4 and turned the key, within 30 seconds the unit was alive, I plugged the radio antenna in and selected a station and wow the sound straight out the box was good, a quick look into settings and the sound adjusted to my liking. I connected the GPS antenna, and the other necessary cables for my setup and I was away. The touchscreen is very responsive, much like my Android phone, unlike the previous pile of sh1te. Setting up was simple, connection to Bluetooth1 for media and call, Bluetooth2 for tethering, and WiFi from my phone's hotspot. I went to Google play, downloaded Spotify, Google maps and some othe apps and logged in, they all work, no more of that stupid usb tethering and screen mirroring, the unit is truly standalone. I've not sussed how to make the WiFi hotspot work without doing it manually from my phone but the Bluetooth2 1 and 2 both connect quickly. The GPS works great in maps, the additional microphone is also great. So far everything is brilliant. I'll keep updating as time goes on. A fair chunk of money to pay out, but it works straight out the box, unlike the crap at half the price which doesn't work, relies on usb tethering and screen mirroring, and the touchscreen required pressing and caused incorrect operations. Buy this, you won't regret it. Ask me questions by all means.

Excellent unit but you may need CAN-Bus and Steering Control wiring harness
After much research, I decided to buy the Atoto A6 PF 7inch Double-DIN Android Car Stereo HD LRV, 2G+32G, A6G2A7PF. It appears to come with everything you might need, for installation, but I am writing this review to mention that you may need to know some information which took me a while to discover. Firstly, you may need to purchase separately, an additional wiring harness for CAN-Bus and steering control (steering wheel switches to operate volume, etc. when fitted to your vehicle). In some instances, the CAN-Bus unit is also needed to send the right signal to switch on a vehicle's factory installed audio system - otherwise you will install the Atoto and get no sound. Many modern vehicles use CAN-Bus (Controller Area Network) and you need the correct system for your vehicle. I'm not allowed to post links here, but there are some helpful videos online. Secondly, I am not an auto electrician, but I do have some basic electrical and electronic knowledge and have fitted regular radio/cd stereos to my cars, in the past. When installing the Atoto unit, even with all the adapter wiring harnesses, you are still likely to need to cut or join one or two wires to connect everything as you need it and achieve the required functionality. So, it took me a few hours across about 3 days, to get everything working as I wanted - mainly because I had to research help videos and harness supply companies, and order the correct parts, particular to my vehicle. In terms of use, the unit comes on pretty quickly after a few seconds, and if you turn it off during driving and then turn it on again, it has a stand-by memory which enables it to come on again instantly. The screen response is fast, like you'd find on a smart phone, although I have had to press quite firmly, at times, to get some menus. (Part of this may be because I am right-handed, driving a right-hand drive vehicle. This means I am mainly operating the Atoto with my left hand and at an angle to the screen). When using SatNav maps, some of the menu icons are quite close to the bottom of the screen and whilst I like the physical buttons on the unit, just below the screen, I managed to catch the off button when trying to press the tiny menu, bottom left of the screen for a SatNav menu. (This is more an issue of the App software, than it is the Atoto). Update August 2023: Having now used the Atoto A6 PF on a number of journeys, a few issues have arisen: Firstly, when using a SatNav app, it's only possible to have the radio on if you mute the audio announcements on the SatNav app. Otherwise, the SatNav audio will put the radio into 'pause', effectively switching it off and the only way to get the radio back on, is to navigate back to it and physically turn it on again. Contrary to the mentioned option of deciding the ratio of audio level, between SatNav and Media, this does not overlay sound from one to the other and back again. (On one journey, I had an opposite issue when the radio kept coming on and overriding the SatNav. The only thing that seemed to eventually stop this was to disable radio traffic announcements (TA). Secondly, using the feature of raising volume with road speed is not incrementally subtle - unless you are a person who likes to drown out all sound at very high volumes. It doesn't just increase volume by a little; it increases it be far too much. I now have this option switched off and simply adjust the sound from my steering wheel controls. Thirdly, Mobile phone data / Wi-Fi tethering seems a bit hit and miss. Sometimes the Atoto does not recognise my mobile (iPhone) hotspot and says 'out of range' - even with the phone an arm's length away. I even had the iPhone as one of my 'saved' connections - but it seems I sometimes have to manually connect, rather than it being automatic. And then it will recognise my passenger's iPhone hotspot and work fine; then, on another occasion it will recognise my phone again. All of this is further complicated by the number of options available to connect a phone with the Atoto: Direct USB cable from phone to Atoto; Wi-Fi signal from home Wi-Fi or mobile data with hot-spot tethering; Bluetooth and Bluetooth 2, where the second is supposed to transmit data, (which I thought might include the Wi-Fi from the mobile data). But with some 'link apps' you cannot use all of these options together and basically, have to pick one. (See more below). Fourthly, following on from the above, the uncertainty of whether a Wi-Fi tether, once connected, is staying connected, or not, can be an issue when using an App like TomTom SatNav with 'Live Traffic'. After a while driving, you may suddenly notice you haven't seen any traffic reports for some time and later discover the Wi-Fi link dropped out and did not automatically reconnect. It would be helpful to see a small icon on the display when a Wi-Fi signal is still active. Fifthly, I didn't have much success with 'Apple Car Play' and ended up downloading another link App. This works fine, but says that Bluetooth should not be connected while using - which is a nuisance, since I was using Bluetooth to activate my Atoto unit without having to enter a chosen passcode for security. The age of my iPhone may be part of the issue, but it is young enough to have 'Car Play' on it. Using Atoto's recommended link (and downloading the App on my phone to match the App that comes with the Atoto) seems to now work best. So you can see, I still have a way to go, before I can completely endorse the A6 PF as the perfect product. However, I would like to mention that Atoto customer support (described as an 'independent research and development company' has been excellent and replies have certainly come within an acceptably short time (allowing for different working hours in our respective countries). You can also join a fb group dedicated to users of the Atoto devices.

Einfache Montage.

This head unit is very good, fast to connect your phone with the unit by Bluetooth if you want the car play or android auto. But you also can download the apps from Playstore directly in the head unit, since this has Android system. The screen is good and it responds well to touch and the screen has a good quality. The GPS signal is good and the app like Waze works well without delay. You also can use 2 apps at the same time by using Android auto or in the system itself. The sound has a good quality, and it's loud. The only issue that I could say is, the buttons are not illuminated so at night if you want to use the buttons it will be a difficult task as it is difficult to see the buttons, I don't know if it can be sorted out with some setups but I think it is what it is, but it's not a big deal and other issue is, how the screen is a little bit small sometimes it's hard to click on the screen bottoms. Furthermore, multimedia meets the consumer's needs well, taking into account the value. I can say that it is a good purchase. I don't know about the camera bcuz I didn't buy it yet.

Good quality, double din stereo. Does what it says it does. Stay away from those ‘cheap’ eBay units You’ll need a wiring harness and some cars need a fascia panel. I got both online and installed myself using YouTube. Steering wheel controls may also need a separate adapter. Good quality and I would recommend.
