Garcima La Ideal Cast Iron Griddle 32cm

It's pretty basic, but it does the job. The casting is rough, but with seasoning and use this shouldn't be an issue after a while. The packaging was very poor; another purchaser reports the handles being missing on arrival and I can easily see this happening. It's just packaged in a thin cardboard box, with nothing to stop it moving around. This is a significant problem with something as heavy as cast iron. Mine had completely burst through and destroyed the packaging by the time it was delivered. The handles detach easily (this is deliberate and useful) so it's not surprise that they get lost in transit.

I bought this to sit on my Weber grill. The hole on the GBS is 30cm diameter, so this fits perfectly over it. It's a solid bit of cast iron, with a flat side and a griddle side. Sears very well (I sit mine over a vortex). No complaints. I think it's got an enamel coating, although I can't see mention of this in the spec. I seasoned it anyway but you may not need to.

Well cast iron is cast iron and it's difficult to go wrong, this product though is very smartly designed thus it can be used in multiple ways (e.g used in the oven as hot stone for pizza) . Although the manual says you can use it on gas or fire I've also tried it on plate hobs with no issues. It became non stick after the first seasoning, i manage to grill fish without actually destroying it!

Great for cooking steaks, use it outside on our burner where we also cook paella’s , easier that firing up the bbq

The product looks great cant wait to try it out, only problem is it arrived with one handle... Yes i checked all the packing... no it still wasn't there... what to do now ?

Arrived without handles, so unable to use safely. Only option given was to return item, as would not send handles out separately. On lockdown and unable to leave the house to post itemback. I did not reorder in case the replacement had a problem too, so cannot comment on how good, or not, the pan is in use.

nice bit of kit, does the job, steaks better than ever can't beat cast iron.
