A good hat, with or without sun.
As a dedicated hat-wearer I tend to be quite demanding in my head gear. The purpose of a sun hat is to keep the sun off your head and out of your eyes. This hat does that very well. What makes it more desirable to me is the lightness - who wants to carry dead weight in the heat of summer? - and the sweat band built in - who wants that cramped feeling of a damp hat crushing the forehead? The brim is wide enough to provide good shade to the head and neck, and the cotton fabric is cool enough to wear all the time. The brim is stiff and keeps good shape (but put it on flat surface to dry if it gets wet). The standard of manufacture is incredible - this is no sweatshop job. The stitching is very high grade and I have confidence this will last more than just one summer. The fit was perfect - I measured my head with a piece of string and looked up the other reviews here for guidance. Spot on! (I am still working out how the postie managed to get it through the letterbox though!) 5 well deserved stars.

Too Small
Good quality materials but the white sweatband around inside is odd looking against the green underside brim. The size large measured 22 inches circumference and in my opinion this is 1 inch less than a large hat size truly should be. The colour neutral is an off white oatmeal colour so don't be fooled by the very white looking photo - it is not white

Colour is different than shown
Nice enough hat, with loops on it for sunglasses with straight arms. Unfortunately, the sweat band shows too much though when on the head. Colour purchased is much more light brown natural fibre colour than expected, given description is white.
