Great for travel, might not fit larger folks
I LOVE this pack! It was just what I needed for my camera gear. I'm planning an international trip, and this was the bag I ended up choosing to bring. I'm bringing multiple cameras, lenses, and a laptop with me abroad, but I also wanted a bag with lots of pockets for organization of other travel essentials. This one fit the bill just right. It has great padded compartments in the bottom section for all my camera gear, a laptop sleeve in the back, and room for other stuff in the top compartments. One of my favorite things is all the little pockets! I love how organized I can be with all of those, there are places for pens, memory cards, chapstick, snacks, and more.I love the look of this bag. It actually looks a lot better in person than it does in the pictures. I love the finish of the grey fabric. It also has a lot of really sturdy feeling D rings which I enjoy. Overall, I think this bag has a really sturdy, strong feel. One thing that I will say about this bag is that it may not fit a larger person. I'm about 5'7" with fairly narrow shoulders, and the chest strap is too short for me. It's not really a problem for me personally because I was going to modify that anyways. It features a double d ring closure, and I want something quicker like velcro or a buckle. If you're larger than me, this bag may be too small for you. It also doesn't have a hip strap, which would make a bag filled with heavy camera equipment easier to carry.Overall, I think this is a great bag at a great price, it will require a tiny bit of modification, but I'm really happy with it.

Love this backpack
I got this backpack for a new camera and it works great. I like all the storage and even the hidden compartment in the back for a tablet or some other tall thin-ish items. There are also 2 hide-away pockets on the sides, what I'm going to call water bottle compartments because that's what I use them from. There are lots of pockets, flaps with hidden pockets under them that are good for storing smaller items such as SD cards, batteries, pens, etc. The pack is divided in 2 with the top portion open and not too deep but adequate; the bottom portion opens in the front with dividers so you can customized how it works for your camera. The bottom portion is padded for protecting the camera. The pack also comes with a waterproof rain cover that does work, I've been caught in a couple of down pours and the cover worked fantastically. I like that it has a modern look with some design thought put into it. The material is heavy canvas so it's durable. It's also comfortable to wear. I loaded it up for a 2 week trek around New Zealand and it held everything and more, really too much, but that was my fault.

Great for my mission trip. A few improvements could be made.
I just got home from a mission trip in Haiti, for which I bought this backpack specifically. I am a professional photographer and I was going to be documenting our trip for the ministry which we were serving. I was looking for a camera backpack that could carry my gear as well as my personal items while we worked within the community.I was very pleased with this pack overall. The many pockets, the hidden pocket for my iPad, and the water bottle pockets were all great. I was able to carry water, snacks, hand sanitizer and wipes, bug spray, chapstick, sunscreen, lens cleaner, and even a change of clothes. This pack will hold a lot overall. The rain cover came in handy during a pop-up shower.I carried with me my Canon 5D mkIII, my 70-200 f/4, and a 28mm prime. I intentionally packed light on gear because I knew I'd have the pack on for hours a day and I wanted to minimize the weight on my back. That said, this pack would not hold much more gear than that within the camera area. I tried packing my 70-200 f/2.8 and I would not fit either on or off the camera. I see some other people were able to make it fit, but I was not. I also opted for the 28mm because my 24-70 would not fit well. The 70-200 f/4 fit snuggly if I removed the lens hood. The pack has tripod straps but I did not use them. This pack would have been 5 stars for me if it would hold a bit more gear.Things that would improve this pack ... The chest strap is too hard to use. It needs to be constructed with a clip that can be quickly fastened and released. The pack would have been much more comfortable with a more useful chest strap. I also wish the pack had at least one open pocket in which I could easily stash my phone to retrieve quickly. I used my iPhone for video during the trip, and it was a pain digging it out each time. I kept it in the upper front pocket which is closed with both a zipper and velcro. Easy access would have been nice. I also kept my hand sanitizer in a small front pocket ... this was closed with velcro, which was very loud when trying not to wake my bunkmates in the early morning. In the future, I'll attach some carabiners to hold a travel sanitizer on the outside. The pack was also quite hot to wear, but that probably would have been true of any pack in Haiti in June. The pack is very attractive and sturdy. I had several people compliment it, and comment that it did not look like your standard camera bag. That's great from both an aesthetic and safety point of view. I was thankful it didn't attract attention as holding a lot of expensive electronics.

Holy Compartments, Batman!
I am so pleased with this backpack. The seams, straps and zippers are strong. There are lots of pouches and compartments in it. I was able to fit 2 cameras, 3 lenses, batteries and some sound gear in the bag. It still has room for my tablet, if I need to bring it. Plus, it got delivered right to my door very promptly - even though I chose the free shipping. Great service. Oh, and the material for the backpack is a strong grey denim. I love it!!!THREE YEARS LATER: I had to write an extended review. I've owned this pack for over 3 years now and it is still AMAZING. I've taken this back through construction sites, outdoors all kinds of rough environments for my photo and video shoots. It is still in perfect shape. The seams are strong and in tact. There are no tears on the pack. It is in excellent shape three years later and I load it full to the max. I have two cameras, 4 lenses, sound gear, batteries, cables all in this bag. Even fully packed, when I wear the pack on my back it feels comfortable and I'm a 5'1" girl. I'm just so blown away by this bag. I'm so glad I bought it.

Great bags
Better the. I thought it would be . I bought after my own bag gave up the ghost. It was a lot bigger then I imagined which is great for all my camera gear.there are lot of compartments for all the bits and pieces that you gather over time. It is really hard wearing for taking on hikes.
