The Solar Dinosaur did not work
We will be returning this to Amazon. It was fun to build with my son, we followed the instructions to the letter, no screws were over-tightened and it was very disappointing when it didn't work.We held it close to a light bulb for one minute, and nothing. We left it in a beam of sunlight, and nothing. Either the motor is locked, the solar pad does not work, or the wires are badly soldered - I have not taken it apart to find out, because we just want a refund.Other things to note:* The dinosaur head and tail is cut out from the box (with perforations) and made of cardboard.* It says it is suitable for age 8+, but the screw holes are unthreaded and my son could not put them in, it requires an adult's power and technique.* No screw driver is supplied, and you need a smaller than average Phillips (cross) headed screw driver.All of the above would not have mattered if it had worked! I have deliberately marked all categories with 1 star because I don't want the overall average number of stars to be greater than 1. I would have given the 'educational value' category 3 stars.
