Best "Cooler" I've ever owned.
I have food allergies and often work multiple days in a row away from home. Since fast food and most restaurants are not an option for me, I usually pack a cooler, but it's difficult to keep them cold sometimes. A few years ago, I ditched the ice and ice packs and proceeded to go through about 5 Igloo Iceless 28-Qt thermoelectric coolers and multiple Igloo inverters. Their inverters were crap, and usually ended up dying without any warning, to the point where I started carrying a spare inverter, and eventually ditched the Igloo inverters altogether. Anyway, the 28-qt capacity was a misnomer, since the fan and refrigeration mechanism protruded down from the lid taking up valuable space. The cold air exhausted to one side and had a tendency to get blocked if the cooler was filled to the top and cold circulation sucked.Still with me? Good. Now that you understand my experience with small capacity thermoelectric coolers, let's discuss why this one is so much better. First off, this is not a thermoelectric cooler. It's actually a portable refrigerator. Unlike the Igloo, that just ran constantly, this beauty actually can be set to cool to your desired temperature. It's compressor is located next to the tub and runs the cooling lines around tub 360° keeping the whole tub cold. I keep mine set at 37-38°F. Any lower, and it has a tendency to start freezing things, like my milk and orange juice. The tub capacity is remarkable. It's wide enough to fit a 6 cup Pyrex snapware will fit width-wise and can stack up to 5 snapware containers high and the lid will close. It long enough tha I usually have 1 or 2 half gallons of milk and/or juice in mine, several protine shakes, along with tortillas, lunch meat, cheese, hot dogs, and condiments. I usually carry 4-5 days worth of food with me at a time. The battery backup is awesome, although I usually leave it plugged in.Depending on the temperature you set and how hot it is, the battery should last longer then the 4 hour advertised duration. I personally have run off the battery for about 26 hours before it finally died and a friend of mine said his lasted about 36 while he was at his deer lease. He's is considering installing it in his camper trailer on a pull out slide in place his propane powered refrigerator. The app, is useless, but I didn't buy this refrigerator because it had an app, so it's a moot point to me anyway. All in all, I love this portable fridge, and highly recommend it.

Buyer Beware - Cooler Failed and Cant get Customer Support
We purchased this 12V cooler about 13 months ago for use in a camper van. We have the cooler wired in to a 12v house battery source. The cooler worked great for our needs split as a fridge / freezer. The cooler didn't see heavy use outside of a handful of trips and now we are a week away from another trip and the cooler has completely stopped working causing us to lose food that we had begun packing. The fuse and power source are both good but when we plug it in the cooler beeps and the lights turn on for approximately one second then everything turns off.It is incredibly frustrating to have something fail with such little use after only a year. We have not been able to get any technical support help either and trying to contact the manufacturer has been challenging. It may be worth going with a more established brand.
