The shipping time was extreme. First time I had to wait 3 weeks to receive a package from Amazon. But it was worth the wait. Unfortunately, didn't catch anything yet with it, but that has nothing to do with the rod. The rod is extremely nice built and feels solid. It's actually lighter than I expected, feels nice, and in comby with the kastking kapstan elite 6000 and the kastking sharky baitfeeder reels, Hope to try it soon, coasts here in my region of Philippines all rocky, and often lowtide during daytime, and often privately owned. No big fish in the shallow waters during lowtide, so the Kong is a overkill for that purpose. I brought it anyway, in case I got a fair price for the boat fishing, but no. Maybe next time Thanks seller

I just recieved my new KastKing KONG 2 piece 8’ spinning rod. It arrived in a shipping tube which insured that my rod would arrive free of shipping damage. Once put together I was amazed how much lighter it is compared to one of my 7 ‘ rods! As light weight it feels, I can’t help but get the notion that it’s a very durable and well made rod. I especially appreciate the day glow green tip! The handle and butt of this rod feels awesome and I can’t wait to use it to land my next big freshwater monster. For under $100 I doubt that you could find a better spinning rod.

Dude this rod is strong asf!! no kidding was able to bring in dogsharks no problem and handle good sized fish please dont hesistate to buy this takes a beating well!! for saltwater

Excellent rod. Used with Sharky X 4000 for surf fishing near gulf shores. Held up to some good fights with several gaftops and stingrays. Will be using again. Excellent value at $71.99 sale price. Would buy not on sale.

This is my first KastKing rod purchase and I must say first impressions definitely matters. It was delivered on time and shipped inside a sturdy black rod tube that was inside an Amazon Box. The rod was very well packaged and no problems at all. Guides were intact and the rod has no dings or scratches. Other rod companies should take note of this to mitigate damages during shipping. I'll be plunking for salmon and steelhead around the Pacific Northwest rivers and putting it to the test soon. It's a beautiful looking rod, light weight, and under $100. However the real test is how it handles during the fight of the fish and that will be the final verdict. If all goes well I plan on picking up the 10' MH model. I personally like my rod seat to tighten from the bottom to the top. This one tightens from top to bottom. I won't be casting constantly using a plunking setup but pointing this out for other potential customers. Also, my Amazon delivery drivers have always treated my packages with care and respect so shout out to them. Thank you!

First off, I love this rod (especially paired with the KastKing Kapstan Elite reel). I have a lot of KastKing gear, from rods and reels, to bags and filet knives. I had been wanting the 10ft rod for a while and finally pulled the trigger on one since we were traveling to OBX and I needed a rod with enough backbone to throw 5-6 on weights for surf fishing. Unfortunately, I'm now halfway through our trip and when I took the rod out of my truck this morning, one of the guide rings (or half of one) had broken and came off in my hand. Upon inspecting the rod more, I realized another is chipped/cracked and also breaking. I take good care of my gear. This is being transported in a flambeau bazuka rod case with a rod socks over it for extra protection. I have two cheap Diawa FT rods transported the same way and neither of them have had any issues. I've always had good luck with KastKing's quality, but this is really a bummer for being a $95 rod, especially since it happened halfway through my trip with only occasional use over 5 days since purchased. EDIT: I'm bumping this up to 4 stars because KastKing has phenomenal customer service and offered to replace the rod with no questions asked after I submitted some photos telling them what happened. I'm still a big fan and will continue to buy KastKing gear for the fact that they typically produce quality gear and stand behind what they sell.

So the first cash King Kong 10 foot medium heavy action rod I got had been damaging in transit returned. It got a new one in less than a couple days. It was so fast I couldn’t believe it. It was amazingly awesome. This company goes above and beyond the product seems to be a super quality heavy duty looks beautifully amazing and I can’t wait to go try it.

I’ve been using the 10’ Kong medium heavy for about 3 months now. I’ve primarily used it in the surf with the kapstan SE 5000. This is an extremely versatile rod and when paired with this reel it’s even better. The feel is great for what the size and weight rating. In freshwater I use it with a 2.5 oz egg and in the salt I’m using a 5 oz pyramid. The loading range is great (2-8 oz). In freshwater I use it for catfish. In the future I’ll target salmon with it. The length and power is perfect for this. In the surf I’ve been using it for leopard shark, rays, and guitar fish. It’ll be great for striper and white sea bass too which i intend on targeting. I can’t recommend this rod enough. If you need distance and want to target big fish it’ll hold it’s own. I love my ugly stik big water but this rod is so much lighter and easier to travel with.
